I saw these used in the recent Ultimate Lego Book as hair on bricky people. A
pile of them makes curls or wavy hair. So I played with that for a while and ran
out of them.
Then I started using pairs of grey ones as capitals on columns for a Greek
revival town building. One way to go is to stick a 1x1 round plate on the
connector.
I'm eyeing other uses. Along with the side-clip pieces that have been
accumulating, my opinion of these too-common parts is going up.

| (...) <snip> (...) That is exactly the effect I used on my capitals on the Temple of Technic. You can see it if you look real closely. At this time I cannot remember if I used the older/thinner ones on them or the newer thicker one, (IIRC I used (...) (25 years ago, 11-Mar-00, to lugnet.build)

| In case you don't know what piece I'm talking about, it's the one shown here: (URL) when I was younger, I remember "breaking" off the round clip part and use it to join two pieces "back to back" (or "socket to socket"). I'm sure that would come in (...) (25 years ago, 11-Mar-00, to lugnet.build)
