    from whence do these come? —Craig Hamilton
    the first element is the top half of a 1x2 hinged brick. (top to side rotation) rather than the common 1x2 top however, it has a 2x2 top that is thinner than a plate. these are common in red, but i have one here that is black. i've been rackng my (...)    Hello Craig, I've been looking for the same set. I saw a Lego history site that talks about this set and even had a few pics. I think it was an English site.    (...) thanks, daniel! yes, this is the set i have. the white axles and red collars are here too. i wonder why the grey technic holed bricks aren't more common? they're the perfect mix of technic and system. i can't see myself parting with these (...)    (...) no. these are the same size as technic holes. (i'm comparing right now) the difference is that the modern technic holes have a small bevelled "lip". thus, a conector pin won't work in these, but the axles fit through fine. later ~ craig~ (25 years ago, 2-Dec-99, to lugnet.build)
