the first element is the top half of a 1x2 hinged brick. (top to side
rotation) rather than the common 1x2 top however, it has a 2x2 top that is
thinner than a plate. these are common in red, but i have one here that is
black. i've been rackng my brain to figure out what set it came in! i need
more!

while i'm at it, more for curiosity's sake, does anyone knw which sets (from
the 70's) included the black linked treads? these have 1x2 tops and hook & bar
connections on the bottoms. also, the big gears in red (8x8), blue(6x6),
yellow(4x4), and white(2x2).

thanks in advance.
