Hmm, I can't tell you all the sets it came in, but I know that I got
one of those pieces with the very first pneumatic set that ever came
out - back in the mid '80s.
Here's a set that used them:

The piece has no valves or anything in it - it's just a hollow brick
with 3 nozzles on it. You can use it to split the air current from
one pnumatic tube to two tubes. The concept is the same as a
splitter for your phone jack or cable tv.

| (...) It is? I always thought there were some kind of valves inside it which split the air into different nozzles depending on the air flow direction. But then again, I only had one as a kid, and never did any experiments with it. Fredrik (26 years ago, 23-Oct-98, to lugnet.build)
