My cats have an affinity for my attention - this involves flopping on their
back in the middle of papers I'm grading, delivering a "run-by hugging" (picture
walking down an unlit hallway in the dead of night. Suddenly, the sound of
galloping feline erupts from the far end of the hall. An instant later you feel
your leg hugged around the knee by four furry legs, before the sound of
galloping feline fades into the distance), etc. Curiously, they normally leave
the LEGO alone with three exceptions:
1) Marble-machines that have lots of motion and noisy. One of our cats will
sit spellbound by this display, eventually inserting a curious paw into the
works and either jamming it or at least spilling a few LEGO soccer balls, which
are then batted all around the floor as I try to retrieve them.
2) One cat likes occassionally to try chewing on LEGO, something that is
*immediately* and forcefully discouraged. This same cat is working on being a
feline Darwin award winner, as she likes biting electrical cords. sigh...
3) And the final cat/LEGO intertaction? Remote controled robots... need I saw
more? "How to turn a $200 Mindstorms set into a cat toy" - we should make it a
contest. I'm still working on mounting the laser pointer to a mobile robot <evil
grin... or is that 3vil grin?>.

| A bit of a random mad post so stay with me. Ok, so scanning through Brickshelf, I've noticed a lot of pics of Lego MOCs and cats. If I took the pictures I'd have the same, except my cats would be kicking the crap out of my stuff. But are Lugnetters (...) (20 years ago, 17-Dec-04, to lugnet.build)
