  Re: wishin' on a star

(...) I think you meant 2x2x1, since those are the dimensions of the R2-D2 head (the taller version is still only 2x2x1-2/3). (...) If you can get parts out to photo-paint to turn into new pieces, just build the rest of the stuff in mlcad, bring it (...) (22 years ago, 7-Jul-04, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: wishin' on a star

(...) The stud notches pretty much peg it as a 2x2. (...) I was able to figure them all out without any trouble, with only a few exceptions: 1. Double-ended clip plate (not sure why the other two variants weren't included). 4. 1x1 round tile. 6. (...) (22 years ago, 7-Jul-04, to lugnet.build, FTX)

(...) it's a 2x2x2. (...) unfortunately, i'm flying by the seat of my pants here. while i figured out how to go from mlcad drawing to jpg to photo-paint, i haven't figured out the reverse process. now that i've got a new piece, how do i get it back (...)   Re: wishin' on a star

(...) As I suspected. Your surgery worked! (...) Ah, OK. So is it only 1 stud around or is it a 2x2? The view you chose didn't make that clear. For a couple of these parts showing them in use with another part, or showing several angles, might (...) (22 years ago, 7-Jul-04, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: wishin' on a star

(...) thanks! i used mlcad to put one, two or more pieces together, took a jpg photo then went into photo-paint to doctor it up.   Re: wishin' on a star

(...) Those are some awesome parts all right. Many of us wish for some of the corner slope stuff you generated. Nice LDraw modeling (or however you did it... how DID you do it?)! One question, I dind't quite follow (URL) 17> though. Can you talk a (...) (22 years ago, 7-Jul-04, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.build, lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.org.ca.parlugment, FTX)

dear lego, one day, when i grow up, i'm hopin' my dreams will come true. i'm hopin' that you'll build some really neat pieces, pieces that'll help us make even more fantastic things with your fantastic toys. i don't know who looks at this letter, (...)   Re: Santa Maria della Salute in Venice

Holger, I already saw the church in some of the pictures released before your posting, and was very enthousiast about it. You've done so well to pick up the charasteristics of the architecture! Applause and much appreciation!! Very impressive. (...) (22 years ago, 7-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.ancient, lugnet.build, lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Murasaki modular corridor system

Cool deal David, this solution is necc. Since we never know how everything will line up. My buddy Tim, has a system like this. Good write up too. Thanks for sharing. e (22 years ago, 7-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

Re: Santa Maria della Salute in Venice

(URL) Blow me away. That is beautiful. I remember looking at the real thing in Venice and thinking, "that would be a fun build", but you bring it to life, I love the minimal grey highlights, The dome, everything. I love in this (URL) picture>, you (...) (22 years ago, 7-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.ancient, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: Santa Maria della Salute in Venice

I was just looking over all the pictures on Brickshelf before you posted. This is really some build! Very nice, very detailed intricate construction. The details and just a joy to look at. Even the light bulb holder is Lego. Great work. e (22 years ago, 6-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.ancient, lugnet.build, lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Spamcake Diner in Venice

(...) Holger! Your MOCs are amazing! I love the Floating Spamcake Diner-- what a great idea:-) And your overall rendition of Venice is astounding-- the level of detail is wonderful; certainly at the level of miniland, which is the highest compliment (...)   Re: Murasaki modular corridor system

(...) Heh. We (and by "we" I mean "I", since I was the only one moving them around during setup) actually found that when you make the mistake of picking them up by the far ends of the corridors, the central hub is self-ejecting. I'd originally (...) (22 years ago, 6-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Murasaki modular corridor system

(...) In the text you mention that you used the bricks with pegs instead of bricks with peg-holes, to avoid "wasting" the connector pegs. Two questions: 1. Don't you find that the bricks with pegs are difficult to attach/detach? That's been my (...) (22 years ago, 6-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Sam-Bots and their "steeds"

(...) The trick is to start with the Rahkshi heads and work the rest of the design into them. Bricks are easy to work with, but there's so little room inside these things that your options are limited enough as it is, without having the extra (...)   Re: Murasaki modular corridor system

(...) Er, um...well, if trans-yellow or trans-flourescent yellow Bohrok eyes existed like I've been hoping for, and I'd used sand-purple instead of dark-purple, it'd be very close to Skywarp's color scheme. Purely unintentional. I used black because (...) (22 years ago, 6-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Sam-Bots and their "steeds"

(...) Hi David, Nice use of these masks, you succed in integrating them pretty well in these over sleds. The the samurai helmet the pilots wear + the flags on the back of the sled give a nice style to the overall. In a way it reminded me of Judge (...)
