Hey buddy! Thank you for the kind words. I spent about 35 hours working on it. The first 24 in a row. I do that sometimes when I can see the end product.

There are actually 35 mini-figs within the Moonbase. They are on all different levels doing things and on the ground floof serviceing the Bots. I guess they are not that apparent. I also did not go crazy taking pictures of them. Alot more evident IRL.

About the modularity.

The Moonbase system connecting corridors are standard fair. See www.classic-space.com for more info. The hanger itself is ment to be upgraded. I still have more Little Bots (7 total) and this facility houses 4. Then you can separate the two sections and add another center section. They connect with Technic pins.

So the Hanger features two kinds of modularity.

1. Standard Moonbase connections at the ends

2. The hanger itself splits in half so more center sections can be added. This is my own design, in theory when I get enough parts, I can then house all the Little Bots into their own Hangers.

Notice the split line in the very center of the Mech Bay.

At the last Fan events and LUG meetings and shows, we all bring our moonbases and connect them together. We are looking to create the largest Moonbase Collective display at the upcomming North West Brick Con to be held this Oct. 4, 5, and 6th in Seattle.

We had a great display at this past Brick Fest, I even saw our display on the news!

Any interest in making a Mech Bay Moonbase of your own? Just a one plater would be great!

You only need a Moonbase Corridor connection to go along with the concept.

Your Mecha would look cool in their own hanger bays.

Interested?
