    TerranMech —Jim Foulds
Hi gang, I present to you the TerranMech. I came about with a challenge to use the "useless" bionicle pieces. So after some trial and error, I came up with this: Deep Links: (URL) Moderation: (URL) ball joints work nice for pose-ability, but they (...) (22 years ago, 11-May-03, to lugnet.build)

        Re: TerranMech —David Laswell
(...) Huh? I don't see any Matoran disc-throwing arms anywhere. I thought you said it used the "useless" Bionicle pieces... (...) I find that the ball-joints are problematic for nearly anything that rests on more than three ball-jointed limbs. I (...) (22 years ago, 11-May-03, to lugnet.build)

         Re: TerranMech —Jim Foulds
(...) You might be surpised by the number of people that think that Bionicle and Galidor have nothing to offer the Lego realm. I find them to be an interesting challenge to incorporate into my creations. (...) I have begun to dig around to try and (...) (22 years ago, 12-May-03, to lugnet.build)

         Re: TerranMech —David Laswell
(...) Not really. I've seen a lot of people voicing that opinion (and a lot of them seemed to be complaining that it's a hot seller). (...) I find them necessary for mine. Seriously. Not to steal your thunder or anything, but I once built a 24" long (...) (22 years ago, 13-May-03, to lugnet.build)

         Re: TerranMech —Jim Foulds

         Re: TerranMech —David Laswell
(...) (URL) I've got the other ten L5R dragons designed, but most of them are still waiting on parts (especially all of those pretty Rahkshi hip-joints).          Re: TerranMech —Jim Foulds
(...) I like it. You really captured the look of a chinese dragon :) I look forward to seeing the other designs as you get the needed parts. (...)          Re: TerranMech —David Laswell
(...) Um, technically it's a Rokugani dragon...but you'd have to play the game to understand. (...) So do I. I've got two more completely finished, one more that's sorta finished (I'd really like to swap out two of the black parts, but I don't know (...) (22 years ago, 15-May-03, to lugnet.build)

        Re: TerranMech —Joe Meno
(...) Neat looking ....um....craft! It has a nice bug-like look to it, and the useless Bionicle parts aren't so useless:)! I like how you decorated the Bionicle arms with the hinge plates-even now, I can't figure out why the arm parts have so few (...) (22 years ago, 12-May-03, to lugnet.build)

         Re: TerranMech —Jim Foulds
(...) I agree, if they had applied some more ways to connect them, I think more people would use them. Hence it is a challenge to incorporate them into any design. (...)         Re: TerranMech —Keith Goldman
Jim, I really dig this mech. The legs, the front cannons, the bend in the main body are all well excecuted. The only thing I would change (not that you asked) would be the canopy. I don't get it when people make these super-armored walking death (...) (22 years ago, 12-May-03, to lugnet.build)

         Re: TerranMech —Jim Foulds
(...) Thanks, I was trying to go for the spider/ant/bug approach with this design. After doing some research, they all seemed to have this mid section that could twist and turn, so i tried to emulate it the best I could. (...) First, any thought (...)         Re: TerranMech —Soren Roberts
The uber-cool vulcan guns make another appearance! Yay! They look even better on this model. The design is (IMHO) somewhat unrealistic, but it's the frickin' cool sort of unrealistic. Everything about it screams detail. Great work. Take care, Soren (22 years ago, 12-May-03, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.mecha)

        Re: TerranMech —Jim Foulds
(...) Thanks for the support. I agree that this model is not realistic, but sometimes it is fun to put reality aside and just build.
