Looking for Resources for Wierd Bulk Parts

I happen to have a need as many as 250 of these:

In my search, as you can tell, I've found them to be sparsely available.
I'm curious about any other places to look.  eBay is useless.  Can I
just call LEGO and make a special order?  Am I just out of luck?

(...) I think you're out of luck. According to (URL) , the one and only time these showed up in a set was in the Galaxy Commander (6980) from 1983. LEGO's customer service only has parts from sets made in the past few years. LEGO does not have a (...) (21 years ago, 31-Mar-03, to lugnet.build)

(...) Yeah, you're... uh... *really* out of luck as far as bulk is concerned. Trans-Blue plates are tough to come by, period. Apart from 1x1 plates, and 1x1 and 1x2 tiles, there are (according to Peeron it seems) only 4 sets *ever* to come with (...) (21 years ago, 31-Mar-03, to lugnet.build)
