   The obvious solution for me is a frame-by-frame construction, with
   each stud being rendered into a "frame."  So I'll be building the
   flare out SNOTwise below deck level.  I have frame-by-frame diagrams
   of _Takao_ which shall be adequate.  It's not going to be perfect,
   and there will be pixellation, but I expect it won't be a jump of more
   than 2.5 plates' height anywhere.

   The stern, thankfully, is virtually straight vertically.
