Thanks a lot! The color issue with miniland figs is kind of annoying- there
is one part that would have been really nice to have, and I don't know if it
comes in any set, though almost every fig in the Ultimate Lego Book has one:
round tan 1x1 plate. They are commonly used as necks, though I don't own a
single one. Ah, well.
As builders, my kids aren't quite as skilled as your son, John, but they
were able to assemble themselves from the instructions (except for the baby,
of course). But he has a few years on us.

I'm actually butting up against that- my raw supply exceeds my time
capacity. Ah, well. Things could be worse.
