Re: MOC POVray BCS NoGun mecha

(...) LOL! I wish my computer could handle that... I might render a newer version of the Sentryhawk. that might be a while from now though. I am starting to really dig this MLcad/Povray combo... but I don't want to let it cut into my "real" building (...) (24 years ago, 22-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Perpetual Duplo Motion

Tony, This is pretty ingenious! I really like how the train moving the lever makes the button on the battery box get pressed. :-) A neat mechanical solution. -Andy Lynch In lugnet.trains, Tony Hafner writes: <snip> (...)   Re: New TIEs

(...) Jay: ditto (the rear of the Tie Advanced prototype is especially well done... TLG's is much too thick). Mark S.: not to get your hopes up, as I can't be sure since I haven't found any of the 2001 sets yet, but if you look at (URL) sure looks (...)   Re: Church design - what is right?

Churches often have some sort of underground rooms. Cathedrals generally have crypts for notable dead people underneath them, or for relics or whatever. Crypts for notable live people are kept elsewhere. Campaniles are generally part of the Italian (...) (24 years ago, 22-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.arch)

Re: Is it time for lugnet.build.sculpture ?

(...) Well, I'm not one of the people building big (awesome!!!) sculptures, but as an admiring fan, it would be great if there was a newsgroup that would catch all (or most) of them, making it easy for me to search (and drool). :) James (24 years ago, 22-Nov-00, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.build)

Re: Is it time for lugnet.build.sculpture ?

(...) Todd, I'm flexible. I'm fine with the structure now. If a .sculpture subgroup were added I would probably still post to .general .build and .build.sculpture (with follow-up to .sculpture). There are certainly issues with building that are (...) (24 years ago, 22-Nov-00, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.build)

  Re: New TIEs

Once again, very nice, Jay. Too bad LEGO doesn't make that sweet blue-gray color. :^( ~Mark "Muffin Head" Sandlin (24 years ago, 22-Nov-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build)

Re: Is it time for lugnet.build.sculpture ?

(...) EricH, HenryL, etc. -- what do you think? Would this help or would this contribute to unneeded fragmentation? Do you read .build reguarly? If not, would you read a .build.sculpture regularly? I think it's a great idea, but only if the (...) (24 years ago, 22-Nov-00, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.build)
