During Christmas Break my mom dug up some photographs of when I was 9 or 10 years old. To my surprise one photograph showed the first train locomotive I built. (...) Yes, and they'd make for great door edges, allowing for easily opening flush-mounted doors without large gaps. Right now, I'm shaving some 1x2 and 1x3 bricks for this purpose, by beveling a corner so that it's roughly like 1/4 of a 1x1 round (...) (26 years ago, 27-Jan-99, to lugnet.build)

(...) Right. Symmetrical yes, but all the base pieces are rotated 45 degrees around their respective y-axes. With respect to the model, the picture shows the turret rotated 45 degrees.
