  Re: Pepsi Machine

(...) You could probably build it deeper, into a wall, so that it would release a 1x1 cylinder when a 100$ green tile was inserted into a slot--I'm brainstorming now! Anyhow, it wouldn't be that much more expensive than Pepsis from the machine seem (...) (24 years ago, 4-Aug-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Pepsi Machine

(...) Nicely done! I like the Pepsi logo detail and hint of hinge on the left. The proportions are also not too far off from minifig scale. I built a replica of your design and put the "Joy of Cola" girl next to it. Gulp well, Andreas Stabno (URL) (24 years ago, 4-Aug-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: How to clean parts

(...) First: take all your stuff apart completely -- even down to arms our of sockets and legs off of the waist part. This allows you to get into all the nooks and crannies and to not trap air in between elements while soaking. For grey and white (...) (24 years ago, 4-Aug-00, to lugnet.build)

  How to clean parts

I just got an older set off of e-bay, and it seems to have yellowed from dust or smoke. What is the best way to get these parts clean, without fading any of the colors? Any suggestions will be apreciated! Tom Heidemann (24 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: My first Mech

(...) Hi Mark, Thanks for the comments. The Technic missle launcher thing is something I was doing with my trucks and tanks and stuff, so it just seemed natural to throw then on the mech. The pistons are functional, but on the next walker I build I (...) (24 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: My first Mech

(...) Hi Jude, Yes the Ttechnic 1x4s are missile tubes. The pilot sits in the box between the missile launchers. The cockpit is cramped, but has some detail. I took a picture of it, but that was rather crummy. when it comes to Technic beems, and (...) (24 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: My first Mech

Hi Greg, Looks like you've got a good start. I don't think I've seen anyone use technic beams to simulate missile ports as of yet, so that's a neat idea. The pistons on the legs are a nice touch. Are they functional? I also like the articulated (...) (24 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Is this piece currently available?

Hi all, Just wondering if anybody knows whether there are any sets in the current line that have piece number 2817 in black? (URL) a modified 2x2 plate with two technic-peg holes on opposing sides.
