Hi Jude,
Yes the Ttechnic 1x4s are missile tubes. The pilot sits in the box between the
missile launchers. The cockpit is cramped, but has some detail. I took a
picture of it, but that was rather crummy. when it comes to Technic beems, and
stuff, black is about all I have. I don't know why, but the three mechs that I
have built, only one is grey. Black is my friend, I guess.
