  Re: gender changers?

(...) I nevcer noticed this with the ones that came in my 8880 or mindstorms - that's all the newer technic I have, tho. :) I do find that worm gears nowadays slide on axles as if they were worm gears. I had one worm gear from before the Dark Ages, (...) (26 years ago, 17-Jan-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: Initial building of 5571 trailer

Barry McFarland wrote in message ... (...) I used about a gallon of yellow 1xn for my one. And pnoumatics on the jockey wheels, wich both worked and looked fairly good IMO. I agree with Terry on the pneumatic tubing for brake lines - eiter that or (...) (26 years ago, 17-Jan-99, to lugnet.build)

  Robert G. Carney, Jr.'s castles!

Robert G. Carney, Jr.'s castle page is this week's Cool LEGO Site of the Week pick. If you haven't seen these yet, these are a MUST SEE! (I've called web pages "must see" before, but these reach a new level!) (URL) is the CLSotW review-text: Once (...) (26 years ago, 17-Jan-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.announce)

Re: Initial building of 5571 trailer

(...) My, my, that is going to be pretty big. Have you considered using pneumaitic tubing for the brake lines? It comes in a nice gray color and is very flexible. -- Terry K -- (26 years ago, 17-Jan-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: New Space Ship added to site, check it out!

(...) Hmmm.... Well, I know I have two of the things. And I know at least one of them was from a set purchased within the last year. I will try to figure out which one. (set, that is) -- Terry K -- (26 years ago, 17-Jan-99, to lugnet.build)

  Initial building of 5571 trailer

Well I did a proof of concept layout tonight for the trailer for 5571 Monster Big Rig. Though I initially was looking to use 1x6 and 1x8 black bricks, 1x4's actually work very well and are much more common. If you have any black 1x4's for sale or (...) (26 years ago, 17-Jan-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: New Space Ship added to site, check it out!

Also sprach Terry K: : Someone mentioned that they were available in a Roboforce set, but I am not : sure which one. I don't think so ... I am complete in these, and I don't remember one ... although the 2154 Robomaster has a ton of 1x1 w/ one side (...) (26 years ago, 17-Jan-99, to lugnet.build)

Customized pieces (was: Re: The virtues of the 1x1 with side stud)

(warning: topic drift, note followups) (...) Halfway within the realm of possibility: this would be a pretty good TLG sponsored contest/prize. Design the best new piece and they'll make it for you. Contest submissions could include a written (...) (26 years ago, 16-Jan-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Terry's Apache and black pieces (was Re: New Space Ship..)

(...) I keep saying to myself that I need to invest in some fill lights and spectrum corrective filters for the camera.(1) Which would be useful for digital photography as well. Controlled lighting is the key to getting consistently good pictures. (...) (26 years ago, 16-Jan-99, to lugnet.build)
