  Re: Site Update - 3 Micro-Fig Models

(...) That's quite an interesting picture. We've had our Top Experts take a look at it, and even sent it over to Muppet Labs for analysis, and the overwhelimgly positive conclusion is that this is a photo of a weather ballon seen against a water (...)   Re: Building the A10 Thunderbolt "Warthog"

(...) I live near Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, Arizona. They fly A-10 Warthogs and their primary mission is to train new pilots. The paint scheme is a uniform light gray (called Ghost Gray I think) with low-vis markings. I bet light gray (...) (24 years ago, 12-Jul-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

  Re: Mecha Legs

(...) Awwww..... c'mon, Mladen, those feet would look *purrrrrrrfect* on a dragon... maybe? Pleee...eeease? Pretty please with a cherry on top?! If you ever did make a dragon, I'd have to buy it from you, or at least go out, find all the pieces you (...) (24 years ago, 12-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: 10 Starship Designs

(...) I was referring to how the cylinder merges with the sloped pieces in the middle of this model: HeavyThreat.jpg (URL) know of no Lego pieces that fit together in this way. If there are, I wanted to know the details of which pieces they are. I (...) (24 years ago, 12-Jul-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Mecha Legs

(...) OK, sorry Mladen. ;-) Hey, guys, SSSHHHHHHH!!! No more! I want to see the rest of this thing...whatever it turns out to be. With wings. ;-) <sorry, just had to push it...;-)> -Chris (...) pull (...) the (...) (24 years ago, 12-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mecha Legs

You just *HAD* to mention wings?!?! Well guess what, maybe there won't be wings! (...) (24 years ago, 12-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mecha Legs

You know waaaay too much!!! Just keep it down!!! You guys are gonna spoil my element of suprise! If you keep this up you, surely, and I say surely, won't see the rest of this mecha... NOW if any of you have some idea or guess at what this mecha is (...) (24 years ago, 12-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mecha Legs

<panic> SHUT UP GREG! Of course it's going to be a lizard/dragon/animal thingy, and yes it's going to have fangs, neck etc. Shoot! looks like I can't keep a secret away from you guys! (...) (24 years ago, 12-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Site Update - 3 Micro-Fig Models

LOL! The picture I'm referring to is: (URL) it sure looks micro-fig and a mecha to me... (...) (24 years ago, 12-Jul-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

  Re: Site Update - 3 Micro-Fig Models

(...) Hold on, I'll walk you to the doctor... Here, lemme hold your wallet... Hey, is this a TRU? Let's check out the Lego section... (...) Who said it was a mecha? Nobody said microfig. What picture are you talking about? :-, Cheers, - jsproat (24 years ago, 12-Jul-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

Re: Images of Civilian Space Freighter

It would be cool if they made slopes that angled horizontally (sideways) at different slopes (besides those 3x3 octagonal castle pieces). (...) (24 years ago, 12-Jul-00, to lugnet.build)

Re: Images of Civilian Space Freighter

  Re: 10 Starship Designs

Sam I can assure that no LEGO was harmed in the making of any of my creations. No actual CUTTING or CHOPPING was done to any LEGO, it's done with special effects CAD, like in the movies. Jamal Coleman (...) then (...) (24 years ago, 12-Jul-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: 10 Starship Designs

To All, I am rather curious, I have not been following too closely in terms of this discussion, but from what I saw of Jamal's ships, they don't have the bumps on them. Is there something else, or is that it? I think the ships are nice, even though (...) (24 years ago, 12-Jul-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: 10 Starship Designs

(...) I hold the opinion that a little modifying here and there doesn't hurt, PROVIDING what you make still looks like lego (most important! If people see your piece in a pic and ask "what set did that come from?", that's great) and also if the (...) (24 years ago, 12-Jul-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: 10 Starship Designs

I couldn't disagree with you more Matthew. I'm 29, I'm an AFOL, my poor legos sat in their box for years, unused. Then one day I got them out for my kids and got the bug again but didn't have the pieces to build the things I wanted and with two (...) (24 years ago, 12-Jul-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: 10 Starship Designs

(...) I quite agree. Chopping and cutting is well....almost cheating. Besides the fact that I have to wonder *who* would have enough of a particular part to go cutting stuff up like there's no tomorrow, it seems merely a copout. The real challenge (...) (24 years ago, 12-Jul-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: 10 Starship Designs

(...) Sure, but isn't that missing the fun of building with Lego? I mean, if you're not going to work with the medium, why not just use modeling clay? (24 years ago, 12-Jul-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Most hated Minifig?
