  Re: legos biggest mistake is...

(...) The minifig as we know it was originally a baby in another scale. My guess is it was adopted as-is to make large scale building easier (ie, reduce the overall scale) without designing/sculpting/tooling up machines for new figs. eric (24 years ago, 14-Jun-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: legos biggest mistake is...

(...) Odd. Very odd. Why was TLG-Aus advertising them on there website in February of '99 then? I didn't see them on TLG's main site until months later. Even then, it took them quite awhile to be released here. (24 years ago, 14-Jun-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  RE: legos biggest mistake is...

(...) And here I was thinking rock raiders were released last year everywhere...The only set that I thought wasn't was the mini-fig pack [4930?] which I'm not sure if it was released in the US [but the US is restricted to sets produced in the US (...)   legos biggest mistake is...

selectivly compressing the minifig. The minifig is too wide for its height and that makes it impossible to truly build to minifig scale. Does anyone know the reason for the selective compression? (24 years ago, 14-Jun-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Gianluca Morelli's models

(...) Thanks for the instructions. I've made a DAT file of the model and built it. I modified the built one so that two minifigs can fit inside (but no steering wheel, unfortunately).
