Re: Building in Minifig Scale: Studs/Meter

(...) Yes, but minifigs are long-agreed to be waaaaaay out of scale in the lego world. Look at them by themselves, their legs are out of proportion to their bodies (human legs are 1/2 the whole body) and their heads much too large. So when (...) (24 years ago, 6-Jun-00, to lugnet.build)

(...) But minifig women are *taller* than minifig men! At least, they are when they're wearing skirts, because the 2x2s2 slope used for skirts is slightly taller than the minifig leg element (without the elongated studs of course). Maybe there are (...) (24 years ago, 6-Jun-00, to lugnet.build)

  Aves: Space Bounty Hunter

Hi all. I took some small webcam pics last night, just as a preview. This is Aves, the cyborg bounty hunter. (URL) post better pics later in the week with my website update. ~Mark (24 years ago, 6-Jun-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

(...) is (...) Adrian, This looks fine other than I'm a little concerned with your average height being 6'. Actual average height for men is 5'8", actual for women is 5'4". Since minifig men and women are the same height, this should probably (...) (24 years ago, 6-Jun-00, to lugnet.build)

Re: A Question for all you CAD Mech builders...

In lugnet.build.mecha, Bram Lambrecht writes: [snipped] (...) Using CAD to rebuild a disassembled model is an excellent use for it, in fact that's what I use it for. As far as sharing the designs, I agree with that too... however IMO pics of real (...) (24 years ago, 6-Jun-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Building in Minifig Scale: Studs/Meter

(...) This was answered a while ago by me: (URL) sum up, there's 2.75 bricks per meter, thus there are 4.125 bricks per 1.5 meters. If you want to fudge a little to make the conversion simpler, 4 bricks per 1.5 meters is probably close enough. (...) (24 years ago, 6-Jun-00, to lugnet.build)

Re: A Question for all you CAD Mech builders...

It's not an issue of incompetence... I know how to use LDRAW, and I often use LEOCAD to design things that I don't have the pieces for... but I still prefer "true" building to CAD modeling. The way I figure it, if I wanted to use computer modeling (...) (24 years ago, 6-Jun-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)
