  Re: Marauder

Nothing. It's just that prior to seeing your model I had decided to work on my own design. I still plan on carrying through with this, but I don't want to be influenced too much by other peoples' design; else I'll be wondering what is my idea and (...)   Re: My First Mecha and a new fighter

(...) I have checked this out before. I never thought of a good use for it though. Using click hinges instead is much easier andresults in a more robust panel. Pat J (25 years ago, 21-May-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: Almost-Mecha with Throwbot parts

(...) Very nice. I'm impressed. But, I wouldn't try rebuilding it for a minifig pilot - it's not big enough, so I think you'd ruin the look deforming it to take one. Don't spoil it. Just my thoughts... JJ. (25 years ago, 21-May-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: My First Mecha and a new fighter

(...) favorite (...) No, I disagree. They're fairly crude mech designs. They're all obviously designed as polygonal wireframes for the game, then the facets painted in by a comic artist. I think Lego versions would be fairly plain - although they (...) (25 years ago, 21-May-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: Marauder

Here are some pretty decent images that were done in a 3D CAD program. (URL) I may make a suggestion, I think your beginning design could use a bit of contouring. The legs you have so far are a bit too straight, IMO. Good luck, ~Mark (...) or the (...) (25 years ago, 21-May-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Marauder

Hi, Could someone direct me to some images of the Battletech Marauder or the Macross/Robotech Officer Battle Pod (non-lego)? I'm mainly interested in images showing the mecha in motion. I'm working on my own design of the Marauder. The leg I have (...) (25 years ago, 21-May-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Custom Minifig: Skull Man

(...) The head design looks sort of like a Storm Trooper... (I don't know what Skull Man is supposed to look like, but it looks like you did a good job) --Bram (25 years ago, 20-May-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

(...) And what a engine it is! (...) Yep, even if it is 8 wide :) John, a really nice job of making this loco. What are you using as the driver wheels though?   New: BattleTech Behemoth/Stone Rhino

I decided to try building some realistic BattleTech models, hoping to bring my skill up to par with the designs on the Lego MechWarrior and Lego MechCommander sites.
