  Re: Minifigs On Tour!

(...) Well, I don't rememebr minifigs ever doing a virtual tor, but at least 2 sets have done an actual tour. Do a search on "Colin" and "Wanda" and look for messages in 2000. Also search for "Brad" and "tour" Paul Sinasohn LUGNET #115 (17 years ago, 4-May-07, to lugnet.general, lugnet.fun, lugnet.build.minifigs, FTX)

  Re: Aeroflot Antonov An-28

(...) Ooh good find. I think one of the pictures I found of an Antonov undergoing engine maintence also had extra struts at the back (maybe one engine isn't enough to rebalance it). Tim (17 years ago, 4-May-07, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Aeroflot Antonov An-28

--snip-- Thanks. (and to everyone else too) (...) Hehehehe I like this thinking. In response to those suggesting the weight brick: I tried a couple of motors but they weren't heavy enough to keep it nose heavy.I don't have a weight brick but I (...) (17 years ago, 4-May-07, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Aeroflot Antonov An-28

(...) Actually, there are Real World times when planes have to have their tails propped up to keep the nose gear on the ground. Below for instance is a row of KC-135 aerial tankers: (URL) (Warning - large file size) You can see the poles below the (...) (17 years ago, 4-May-07, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Aeroflot Antonov An-28

(...) Hi Tim, You're gifted. Yes that's also work (practising) that makes you such a talented builder. (...) You misspelt requesite, I mispronounce ship, everyone goes home happy... (...) Planes are made to fly, no need for them to stay on their (...) (17 years ago, 4-May-07, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Aeroflot Antonov An-28

(...) Have you considered using plane weights? ;-) That is a great, great model Tim (17 years ago, 4-May-07, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Aeroflot Antonov An-28

(...) Tim, Simply another great MOC that showcases your talent. Thanks for sharing. You may want to try and place a 'Boat Weight 2 x 6 x 2' (73090b) near the nose as a counterbalance. (17 years ago, 4-May-07, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Aeroflot Antonov An-28

Once again, excelent work, You really love your russia gear. (...) Have you thought about using train weights in the nose of the aircraft to balance the weight? The should be small enough to not effect the design Aaron A (17 years ago, 4-May-07, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Bionicle Mecha Frame

(...) No. Thankyou (...) Thank you so much for highlighting my error, particularly for doing so in front of my peers. That way I will surely learn my lesson. PS. Shouldn't the past tense of 'spotlight' be 'spotlit'? (17 years ago, 4-May-07, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Aeroflot Antonov An-28

(...) Sometimes, Tim, I'm not sure what impresses me more about your MOCs - the sheer quantity you produce, or the amazing quality of them. And quality can overwhelms on this occassion. If this was all you produced in 2007, I would still regard you (...) (17 years ago, 4-May-07, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Aeroflot Antonov An-28

(...) Nice plane Tim!! I like how you captured the leading edge of the wing so well. Not easy to do in Lego for sure. Could you please work on an An-124 or An-224 in this same scale next please? ;-) (...) I think the sheep help convey this plane's (...) (17 years ago, 3-May-07, to lugnet.build, FTX)

(4 URLs) BS> (URL) Flickr> Hi all, presenting my take on an Antonov An-28 in USSR era Aeroflot colours (and requesite sheep). (...) Nice work, Allister! Spotlighted. Thanks for sharing. Cheers PS - since spelling is apparently the no. 13 thing we don't want around here - you misspelled 'constructions' :-) (URL) (17 years ago, 3-May-07, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Bionicle Mecha Frame

(...) Nice work, Allister. The poseability you've achieved is excellent. Even though I'm not much of a mech grokker, I can appreciate the poseability you've achieved. And handstands? Trés cool indeed. Spotlighted, naturally. Cheers Richie Dulin (17 years ago, 3-May-07, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Bionicle Mecha Frame

(...) Very nice and straightforward. I like the Knights' Kingdom piece usage too, although my favorite part is the head... inspired usage of those Rahkshi heads. Kelly (17 years ago, 3-May-07, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Bionicle Mecha Frame

Well, I call it a frame, but it'll never support any more weight than there is on it now. Anyway... (URL) This was actually inspired by a creation of my 8yo son's. He'd made a hand using the same fingers, and I had to try a variation on it, which (...) (17 years ago, 3-May-07, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX) !
