(...) Wow, that's very very good. I like the way you've captured the tree by the Tower. (17 years ago, 17-Apr-07, to lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.castle, FTX)

Brick Testament and Little Artists exhibit in Bratislava, Slovakia starting 18 April 2007

I'm off to Europe! The (URL) SPACE gallery> in Bratislava, Slovakia will be featuring artwork from (URL) The Brick Testament> in a new exhibit on the use of LEGO in contemporary art (17 May through 10 June, 2007). And better yet, they have (...) (17 years ago, 15-Apr-07, to lugnet.events, lugnet.build.ancient, lugnet.fun, lugnet.people, FTX) !!

Re: Le Corbusier House in Stuttgart Weissenhof Estate form 1927

(...) Gorgeous as usual! The curved wall by the entrance is nice, and the interior floor with the small tiles looks fantastic. I love to see the insides of buildings completed. The matching of real and Lego views is a great way to show all the (...) (17 years ago, 15-Apr-07, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)

  Battlestar Galactica 2003 TV Series

Hello dear fellows! Some of you may have noticed that I built some Galactica stuff recently. All from the classic series, as I like that one better. However, one cannot deny the popularity of the new TV series which started in 2003. Hence, I decided (...) --snip-- (...) Excellent work as usual, HoMa. My favourite touch is using the 1x4x3 clear panels forward and reverse to make 'opening' windows. Genius. Tim (17 years ago, 14-Apr-07, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)

  Re: Microscale Minas Tirith

Very impressive! And the model captures the city very well (which is of course very subjective). Luckily I have read the books before I saw the films and your version hits my idea of Minas Tirith much more. Andreas (17 years ago, 13-Apr-07, to lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Chinese pagoda

(...) Looks very nice! I especially like the different style railings on each level and the parts used to create them. Best, Jonathan (17 years ago, 13-Apr-07, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build.ancient, lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

  Microscale Minas Tirith

Hi all, Here is a microscale project I've been working on for a while. Is something truly microscale if it covers six baseplates and is 40 bricks high? Anyway, here is my rendition of (URL) Tirth> (URL) I tried to make an effort to match this to my (...)   Chinese pagoda

I constructed this microscale Chinese pagoda as a centerpiece for a dinner party (for 25!) that we hosted two weeks ago. It isn't accurate to any specific pagoda, but is broadly based on some of the techniques and styles I observed in some source (...) I'll link a picture from GMLTC member Bill-2 (that's one of his firetrucks!): (URL) Something like this allows people to get their noses right up next to a model, but still prevents them from picking them up.   Re: Displays at Fests

(...) Another idea might be to change the way the MOC is being presented. The biggest risk at shows I've been to is kids not understanding the toy/can-touch and display/cannot-touch difference. Stanchions and plexiglass both limit how close kids can (...) (17 years ago, 11-Apr-07, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: Displays at Fests

(...) This is a great question. I think a retail display case or a museum case would probably work best. It is an expensive solution for a LUG, but perhaps the venue has some available, or you can pick one up at a store that is going out of (...)   3 legs and 7 years

Hi folks, it's 7 years now that BrickCommander (formerly aka LEGO MechCommander) is up and running, and as you probably know I always strive to mastermind something special for my website's anniversaries.   Re: Spiral Stairs

(...) Hi, Your solution is close to mine, except that for me the step height is 2 plates. I always build my stairs (even the straight ones) with a 2 plates step height except if it's a stair in a square in front of a church for example (in that case (...)
