Re: The Shag Wagon Urban Assault Vehicle

(...) Wow, not every dad in the world would build a shag wagon for his son! Wow the therapy bills are gonna' be astronomical. Giggle. (Sorry, could NOT resist!) I love how you managed to cram so much detail and function into such a small package. To (...) (18 years ago, 2-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

Re: Technique for building metal scaffolding?

(URL) This one was especially helpful. And I probably even have enough 4l bars to do it. Thanks Janey! Aaron (18 years ago, 2-Jan-07, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: Finally online : Cafe De Unie

(...) Enjoy? I sure did! Nicely done... funny as it seems, I think "modern" (at least for me) is very difficult to pull off well (in the brick). Do you have your next building already picked out??? Janey "Red Brick" (18 years ago, 2-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town)

Hi All, A (URL) little intermodal oddity> I turned up looking for shunters. (2 URLs) BS> (URL) Flickr> Tim PS. The MPD is provided to show how it all sticks together.   Re: Whexoid - my last Mech in 2006

(...) Holy crap this one is actually decent. The top half is nicely assembled and for once I like your detailing. Tim (18 years ago, 1-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Whexoid - my last Mech in 2006

(...) Hi Eric, first of all I whish you and erverybody reading this all the best, health and luck in 2007 . On the Whexoid: I like it. It's obviously yours. Others may state there's nothing new about it, but I disagree. I'm still spoting new (...) (18 years ago, 1-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Snowmobile tread for military tanks?

Re: Snowmobile tread for military tanks?

(...) yea i noticed that. the new tracks look pretty beefy. finaly something realistic to model with. the color is ok, i would prefer black as well but at least there not pink. With the new tracks maybe i should think about building that 16/th (...) (18 years ago, 1-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military)

  Snowmobile tread for military tanks?

The new snowmobile really caught my eye. Set #8272 with the new wide tread links. (URL) have not seen the links up close and in person, but do you think they may be useful for a minifig-scale tank? The treads look a little bit too wide. And the (...) (18 years ago, 31-Dec-06, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: Finally online : Cafe De Unie

(...) I used mainly stacked plates and bricks... there's a bit of SNOT to get the Window row fall back ½ stud, the rows right of the window are jumper plates and plates, held by invisible technic bricks. (...) The building was pretty much 1:40 all (...) (18 years ago, 30-Dec-06, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town)

Re: Finally online : Cafe De Unie

(...) I like this a lot. It's a great choice to build in Lego and you've pulled it off most admirably. I particularly like the way you've simulated the spiral using studs out tiles (unless my eyes decieve me). My only crits are that it's perhaps a (...) (...) snipped... Here are a few good examples as well... (4 URLs) I have seen some cool ones on water towers and things like that on club train layouts, but sadly they arent coming up in a search. Janey "Red Brick" (18 years ago, 30-Dec-06, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: Technique for building metal scaffolding?

Re: Technique for building metal scaffolding?

(...) I will try some of those search words. Hopefully it will help. But you seem to suggest that my options are technic - studless or otherwise? Aaron (18 years ago, 30-Dec-06, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Finally online : Cafe De Unie

I finally managed to post my last (may/june 2006) MOC online : Cafe De Unie, an architectural masterpiece by JJP Oud, built in 1925 (and rebuilt in 1986) (URL) Jan-Albert van Ree | (URL) (18 years ago, 29-Dec-06, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town) !

Re: Technique for building metal scaffolding?

(...) Hi Aaron, It depends a lot on the dimensions. You might wanna try searching for cranes with lattice booms, as various techniques have been used for those which may work for you. Here are some examples to get you started: (5 URLs) And the new (...) (18 years ago, 29-Dec-06, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Technique for building metal scaffolding?

I have checked brickshelf, and none of my search terms bring results. I'm looking to build the scaffolding/frame similar to the photos (linked below), and would like to learn from other's attempts. If it has been attempted. Thanks in advance. (4 (...) (18 years ago, 29-Dec-06, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: Red fighter plane from WoH

(...) Hi Mladen, I pretty much agree with everything you say here. The canards are studs out mainly because the area they attach to is (neccesarily) studs out and there is a fairly limited selection of snot bricks in dark red. Along with other (...)
