Well I seem to have found a new fad (after some prodding by Mladen). This
fighter is the major aeroplane for the good guys in the final battle of
the film.
Its far from perfect and Ive already started making some suggested changes
but at the moment Im a bit sick of the sight of it so Im putting it out
there regardless. The body wheels can retract but the wing wheels are
removable.

PS. WoH = Wings of (the) Honneamise - go watch it

That is a difficult plane to model, so I give you kudos for just attempting
it.
Despite a couple inaccuracies, I think this is a really good start. The
engine and the main wings are superb. The main body could use a bit more
trimming and perhaps a few curved slope pieces to smoothly transition it into
the wings. The canards have got to go though. Ive never been a fan of
brick-thick wings, even if they are studless. I dont see why you cant just
replace them with 1x4 wing plates. I also think maybe you shouldnt bother
with the retractable landing gear. Try building the plane without it, and
then try to add it in afterwards. Dont let it sacrifice the overall form.
Anyways, Im happy youve taken up WoH as your new fad. Its a challenge
that youve got the skills to take up.

Hi Mladen,
I pretty much agree with everything you say here. The canards are studs out
mainly because the area they attach to is (neccesarily) studs out and there is a
fairly limited selection of snot bricks in dark red.
Along with other suggestions at Flickr I intend to rework this at some future
point when its not driving me up the wall.
Thanks,
Tim
