Hi Aaron,

It depends a lot on the dimensions. You might wanna try searching for cranes with lattice booms, as various techniques have been used for those which may work for you. Here are some examples to get you started:

(...) Not at all, but it certainly is one option. In fact (URL) HoMa's boom> doesn't use Technic at all, but probably doesn't get the look you want.
