Re: The Brick Testament - More Teachings of Jesus

(...) Thanks, BDN. I've long been a fan of your vignettes. I know I've commented before on a few of them, but I was just looking through your Brickshelf folder and really enjoyed the heck out of a few I had missed: (URL) Flesh Peddler> (URL) (...)   Re: The Brick Testament - More Teachings of Jesus

Hi, Bruce! (...) Gosh, and I felt crappy about there being a three month gap between this update and the last for The Brick Testament. Sometimes you just need to lock yourself in a room full of LEGOs and a camera for a couple of weeks and not come (...) (18 years ago, 15-Oct-06, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

Re: The Brick Testament - More Teachings of Jesus

Your site is really getting amazing! I remember back when it started, but I have to say I am struck at how much content you've made and how good you are getting at the more subtle humor aspects of it! wow. hilarious, and the Lego illustrations are (...)   Re: Two new mecha

I think that the first guy looks awesome! I love his gun and his head. The second one is perfect except for the chest , you should make it smaller. Overall, 10 out of 10. (18 years ago, 15-Oct-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX)

Re: The Brick Testament - More Teachings of Jesus

(...) SNIP Great installment, Rev! I like the interjected humor, such as in "On Faith". Pearls before swine... :) "Big Daddy" Nelson (18 years ago, 15-Oct-06, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

Re: The Brick Testament - More Teachings of Jesus

Hey Brendan, Dang you! Every time you post a new installment it makes me feel horrid over my own long-neglected projects. On Peace - Great implementation of the Lowell Sphere! On Family - How did you get Jesus' arms out like that? Did you cheat with (...) (18 years ago, 15-Oct-06, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

Re: New MOC: Trifecta VXR Concept Car

Excellent, Bram. This is cool, not only for the obvious reasons, (functional steering, hot colour scheme, awesome shape, etc.) but also for being a fine example of the value of trying different scales. This also rewards closer scrutiny; the slight (...) (18 years ago, 15-Oct-06, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: first multi-colored sculpture - rhapsody in blue

(...) And I have to say thank you for adding these. The stories being told on the moonbase are a lot of the fun. I liked the space men chasing the zombies up the tower. Other fantastic stories on the moonbase were the spaceman (URL) to smell the (...) (18 years ago, 13-Oct-06, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

Re: first multi-colored sculpture - rhapsody in blue

(...) I built it in five sections, each a little under 2 feet tall. These were merged together the first morning to form the full tower. Unfortunately since I hadn't done tile layers it couldn't come apart afterwards. So it had to come home in many (...) (18 years ago, 13-Oct-06, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

Re: first multi-colored sculpture - rhapsody in blue

(...) I will confess that the interior is empty. The technological breakthrough was the ability to produce the color voxel representation of the multi-colored object. To transform objects into voxels I had been rendering slices through them. (page 7 (...) (18 years ago, 13-Oct-06, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

Re: Northwest Artifact wins Best of Show at NWBrickCon 2006

(...) Thanks! The 'pins' (axle-2) are used only to 'glue' the front face 'sheet' to the wing base 'sheet'. There is enough tension/compression that it is extremely unlikely to come apart without intent. The axles (captured 3-1/2 w/stud) on the (...) (18 years ago, 13-Oct-06, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: 18th Century Howitzer

Re: Northwest Artifact wins Best of Show at NWBrickCon 2006

(...) WOW! It deserved the win! I thought you were being sarcastic about the plywood and staples until I looked through your Brickshelf folder - neat idea!   Re: first multi-colored sculpture - rhapsody in blue

I don't think its boring at all. For me, a non-spacer, it was the coolest part of the moonbase. Very impressive! Josh (18 years ago, 13-Oct-06, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

  LEGOLAND Sculptures

Is there anybody in America due to visit LEGOLAND California soon. I’m replicating and building for my pleasure the Bust Sculptures of famous people that can be seen at the LEGOLAND parks. It may (...) David, you continue to astound me. Absolutely awesome. To think it is boring is completely absurd--might actually be your best yet in my opinion.
