  My first vignette--The Apology

This MOC was built to compliment a haiku I recently wrote. The haiku is titled "The Apology." I like you, but not Enough to take you to the Hospital. Sorry. (URL) Please let me know what you think. Derek (18 years ago, 21-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.vignette, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX) !!

  New Moc: Kestrel

Hello all, I have been very busy as of late. What with buying a house, moving in, and preparing for the arrival of our first child (she is due May 6, btw), I haven’t had much time for building. The pimp my Mech contest got me all up in arms to use (...) (18 years ago, 21-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.space)

  Re: BAAL - Artillery Mech

(...) This is an excellent Mecha, Dennis ! It is reminiscent of The Mac 2 Monster from Robotech. (Always was one of my favs!) I look forward to seeing what you build next! -Jon snip (...) (18 years ago, 21-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: MOC: Microscale Formula PWN

(...) Fantastic! While, IMHO, your work is surely an appropriate microscale, I can easily imagine a whole "mesoscale" world build around your cars. I need to build more.... --Muze (18 years ago, 20-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

I took the liberty of mentioning The Brick Testament on another forum

(URL) were overwhelmingly positive. Congrats, Rev--you've won additional fans! Dave! (18 years ago, 20-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

  Re: BAAL - Artillery Mech

(...) No criticism or suggestions; I love it. Great colour scheme, I'm always a fan of black+white+other colour, and your green / trans-green detailing works really well. It's lovely and compact yet really beefy looking; those cannons are fabulous. (...) (18 years ago, 20-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: MOC: Microscale Formula PWN

Very nice! You've captured the look of an F1 car and demonstrated great snotwork too. I can't wait to build a track full of them. Ashley (18 years ago, 20-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.microscale)

  Re: Pirate mecha

(...) Thanks Mark! I didn't know about Makoto Kobayashi (URL) before you mentioned him, no inspiration coming form there. Inspiration came more from (URL) kind of bot - which looks similar to your example anyway: strong arms, short legs - ape style (...)   Re: Pirate mecha

hah, nice one JP Something about your mech struck a chord with me, I couldn't figure out what it was. So, true to my style I start surfing my links, and found (URL) by Makoto Kobayashi. (thanks to Soren the anime junkie Roberts for turning me onto (...) (18 years ago, 19-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: BAAL - Artillery Mech

(...) That's just sweet Dennis. Loved checking it out on flickr and seeing it finished. Great job! Mark (18 years ago, 19-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: BAAL - Artillery Mech

Hi Dennis, First off I'd like to congratulate you on a great little mech! Awesome colours, nice proportions, and great detailing. I love the guns, big and mean looking! I normally prefer more humanoid looking mecha, but what you have done here is (...) (18 years ago, 19-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Tachikoma tank mecha - Ghost in the Shell

(...) Please keep them coming. I'm stumped. --SNIP-- (...) I tried it and it would look great except that the parts can't rotate enough :( They end up about 10 degrees from vertical. A real shame since if it could rotate more it would be great. (...) (18 years ago, 19-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Tachikoma tank mecha - Ghost in the Shell

(...) Ok, one more idea and then I'll leave you alone. What if you removed the parts above the 4x4 round brick you have there now, and instead attached three of these to it, lined up above where the technic holes of the 4x4 round brick. (URL) Then, (...)   Re: MOC: Microscale Formula PWN

(...) This is great. One of the best microscale mocs I've seen in a long time. There is some slick construction in it too. Very well done! (18 years ago, 19-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

  Pirate mecha

Mechers, mechettes, spacers, spacette, I've just finished a small Pirate Mecha: (URL) Click on the pic = Brickshelf folder postmod. Keep your chickens home! JP. (18 years ago, 19-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: MOC: Microscale Formula PWN

(...) snip (...) Awesome! This is really cool, and a really nice use for that new curved slope. I love the construction of it, especially the upside down chassis and use of the brackets. I just built myself a red one, although I've slightly modified (...) (18 years ago, 19-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

  BAAL - Artillery Mech

(URL) This is my first mech build. Even though this is a small mech, it was a good learning experience and was definitely different than building spaceships. Any comments, criticism and suggestions on how to improve future builds are very (...) (18 years ago, 18-Apr-06, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX) !

Re: Tachikoma tank mecha - Ghost in the Shell

(...) Thanks Anthony, Amusingly enough the original design was exactly as you described (studs out version) but it looked a bit bug-eyed so I moved the eyes on top. Thanks anyway. Tim (18 years ago, 18-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Tachikoma tank mecha - Ghost in the Shell

(...) That looks really great! I've fallen out of watching the show, but mainly because I don't stay up so late anymore when it's on. My only suggestion for the head is to add another 4x4 blue wheel (the kind with the 4 technic holes around the (...) (18 years ago, 18-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Brickshelf Find: BAAL by dennisc888

(...) Thanks Marco for the kind mention. I'm glad you like the model. :) I just submitted these pics late last night to BS, and I'll create some proper MOC announcement posts when I get home from work tonight. Thanks again! Dennis (18 years ago, 18-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
