(...) Thanks Dave! The minifig hand I used was from a C3PO. I found that the colour nicely simulated the amber colour of translucent plastic magazines used by certain armed forces nowadays. Another idea to speed up the database search. If the database is on SQL or similar it could speed up the search if an indice was created which lists according to group and subgroup. Just a thought. Marco (19 years ago, 30-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) I found the feet of the MOAB too bulky compared to those of the Wanzer. Thus the foot design is changed a little. The wheel wells were on my to use list for quite a while. I've been doing some research on .mecha and ran across this beautifully worded post from Stuart (via Soren). Okay, For fear of repeating that which was said before, I did prefer The Cub. However, I think some subtle contrasting colours might have brought out the detail more (not quite with Soren on the blacktron Black and Yellow look). Maybe some (...) (...) It isnt, but then between exoforce and Bionacle they have headed generally in the mecha direction for some time. Some of the classic space sets were mecha-like. Having found some of these sets already in my local Toymaster store I'd like to comment on a couple of points raised. (...) I've never built a mecha before, unless you count my Dragon-bot which is more Mindstorms I guess: (URL) I'd love to enter this contest though.
