It isnt, but then between exoforce and Bionacle they have headed
generally in the mecha direction for some time. Some of the classic
space sets were mecha-like. So in that respect, Lego have had a number
of official sets which are mecha. For that reason, as well as the
activity and popularity of this group, I dont see why there is not a
top level group for it.

Yes. I would. The only worry is about how painful such a move would be
- would any links to .mecha need to rewritten, would we need to
resubscribe to it and so on... I have not been on a group which
underwent such a move, so what (beyond more exposure and possible
performance increases) other implications would there be?
