Frankly, I feel no love here. The black soaks up all the detail, and from what I can see the proportions are pretty far off human standard in a really unappealing way, especially the hands. The control panels as eyes also lack definition, and only with the lack of color in the rest of the machine do they stand out at all.

A couple of those Blacktron triangle wedge slopes and some more yellow all around would really help make this less of a reporduction and more worth of a separate post, and it’d be a great way for you to practice more complex color schemes. Bits of the Gundam Mark II and GM Quel designs could also be adapted to improve it.

Also, I’m pretty sure that advertising the thread in .marketplace in the MOC post isn’t what the inimitable Rosco had in mind. Just sayin’.

I have to re-iterate Soren’s comments. This looks like every other Sophie Mecha, except there’s less color going on than usual. You’ve never been into multiple color schemes really, sticking to good ole color & Neutral. But in all black, most of the details and sense of armor vs. equipment is lost.

As for the form, it too is mediocre. You’ve done much better. This one seems less biomechanical than most, less creepy. The hands are a cop out- were you on a required timeline?

I really want to have something nice to say as well, and if it were another builder I could. But this is a real back-down from your usual work. I’ve seen you build your own joints, tile or slope away every stud, creative use of weird pieces. But not this time.

Good luck trying to sell it.

Aaron
