Re: Gail Storm/Pippin Reed face - thoughts

(...) Removing side-hair from printed faces would be my first act with an Xacto knife, if I was ever to take up such a heinious life-style. I *hate* when LEGO prints hair on minifig heads, because it *never* looks good with wigs. Steve (25 years ago, 8-Mar-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: ED-209

(...) I was originally aiming for minifig scale, but it wasn't coming together, so I just followed where the bricks led me. In addition, I really liked the wedge pieces for the nose, and the rest of the body's scale came from that. Maybe it's the (...) (25 years ago, 8-Mar-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Brad Hamilton wrote in message ... (...) I bought 2 UFO sets about a year ago. The clear pieces made a top for my carousel. The grey pieces a base for my UFO Spin ride.   Re: UFO clear and gray pieces - Are they useful for emulating architectural features?

This is really my last post today, I just have to answer this! Yes! Eric Brok made excellent and creative use of the UFO pieces which lots of people shamelessly copied later (me included... need more UFO hulls...) Check them out, under 'buildings' (...)   UFO clear and gray pieces - Are they useful for emulating architectural features?

When the UFO stuff first came out, I scoffed at them (because I'm more into town than space). However, I decided that I wanted to build a merry-go-round and the circular pieces would make a good top. So, I bought two UFO sets. I never was able to (...) (25 years ago, 8-Mar-00, to lugnet.build.arch)

Re: Haunted Houses- I need graphics

The pumpkin graphics used in the contest site were made with Photoshop trickery. No minifig head were painted to make the contest graphics. I think Brian Nelson's entry had a pumpkin he made that was fairly elegant. Two side notes..... One: I built (...) Dave!, (...) Yes! Great representation of it! I just watched Robocop a few days ago, I love ED-209. Too bad we don't have a Robocop minifig to go along with it. :) "You are illegally parked on private property. You have 20 seconds to move your (...) (25 years ago, 7-Mar-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Gail Storm/Pippin Reed face - thoughts

One of the medical staff in my Launch Command scenario has this head with brown shoulder-length hair. It gives her a 'professionally-styled' look, and differentiates her from the legion of smileys.
