  Re: The Brick Testament: Gideon!

Hey Brendan, Great work as usual. God Uses Midianites to Oppress Israel - The coolest pic in this story is the second one. The Jack Stone columns behind the inverted arches makes an interesting wall, and the mosaic floor is very cool. In the first (...) (19 years ago, 21-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

  Re: Bravo

(...) Sure did Marco. I am grooving on this little dude. I'm afraid I got not much more than what Dave said, the feet feel not quite right. I dig the toes, it's the heel that gets me.   Re: Harbor crane / horse and cart

(...) Andreas, Wow, again I'm jealous of you Europeans, I had no idea such an old harbor crane existed. Sure, there must have been something to unload ships with, but I ha dno idea what they used. I'm sure there's nothing comparable in America. (...) (19 years ago, 21-Apr-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

(...) Nice work. (...) A very important model to have. :) I like the way you have made the horses pull the cart. Much better than the "official" way of doing it. Play well, Jacob (19 years ago, 21-Apr-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town, FTX)

2005 Mecha Pose Contest, rule clarification

I have been asked an interesting question regarding public frame designs, like the GlaGla frame: "Does it have to be an original design by me?" My answer to this is Yes, UNLESS the design you are using has been made publicly available for use. This (...) (19 years ago, 21-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build.contests, FTX)

Columns was Re: If you could wish for any single Lego element, what would it be?

On the topic of fluted columns, I'm sure Lego would make it Juniorized, but I would rather have a top and a bottom piece with drums 2 bricks high. That way you could make your own base or capital. The white Technic pin joiners can be wrapped around (...) (19 years ago, 21-Apr-05, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

(...) Hi Bruce and Ley! Thanks for the info and for the kind words of welcome. I don’t own a Weasley minifig yet, so any Joe Vig scenes from me will have to wait a little while, but I’ll see what I can do. I’ll keep watching the group to see his (...)   Re: Bravo

Okay, so this one I like. A LOT! The colorscheme is fairly basic which helps on a design like this. I'm still not jiving on the feet, but that might be due to the size you are working at. Greetings, mechers!* I would like to present my latest creation: the KOP (Keeper Of the Peace) Trooper. (...) I like the bulkiness. It looks a bit lumbering but isn't that the "big and mean" standard? Also like the slope usage on the front.
