Re: The Brick Testament: Judge Deborah

(...) And I'm going to need a Goliath soon anyhow. :) Thanks, Julie. -Brendan (19 years ago, 6-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

Re: The Brick Testament: Judge Deborah

(...) That's a pretty clever idea--wait a second, that's GALIDOR! I might as well start using MegaBlocks. -Brendan P.S. Just kidding. But I think Julie's come up with a simpler paper clip solution. (19 years ago, 6-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

Re: The Brick Testament: Judge Deborah

(...) I guess I'm not as bothered as some people at the idea of "mutilated" LEGO. I mean, don't think of it as a mutilated LEGO head that has become useless, think of it as two LEGO half-heads--a new specialty part previously unavailable. And who (...)   Re: New Galactic Inquisition Mech.

(...) Stunning, is all i can say... The whole Crusader feel of them lends to the imagination of this thing having hoards of religous zealots running around it's feet purging the infidels... Awesome mech, too bad about the cat... (19 years ago, 6-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: RTS LEGITOR a single-turret seagoing monitor (Passaic Class)

Re: The Brick Testament: Judge Deborah

Or you can use the metal wire used in battery boxes like (URL) here>, or simply say that you did. I mean, cutting up lego pieces seems worse to me than using an invisible paperclip. But hey, it's your party :) (19 years ago, 6-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

  Re: New Galactic Inquisition Mech.

(...) Hello Daniel, please let me state my condolences. (URL) This> is a horrible thing to see! You did an excellent job. This mech is unique. And good looking BTW. As I'm still learning about mech building I'd like to see more details of the (...) (19 years ago, 6-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: New MOC second try

(...) Hello Nathan, first of all I like it! As others allready metioned the colour placement looks a bit scattred. The overall shape is what I like. Maybe the legs could profit from some plates mounted on the sides. This could bulk up them a bit (...) (19 years ago, 6-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: The Brick Testament: Judge Deborah

(...) True, but everything in front of the camera is LEGO (except the background sky). Has LEGO ever made paperclips? Maybe if somebody from Billund or Enfield sent me some paperclips from LEGO headquarters, that could be some sort of loophole. But (...) (19 years ago, 6-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

  Re: New MOC second try

Hey, thanks for responding, of course as soon as I posted these pics I realized that I needed regroup some of the colours. The arms were the hardest to do shape wise and I am still not really happy with how they turned out. The best parts in my mind (...) (19 years ago, 6-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Macaroni Brick Patterns

(...) Just by looking at it, I would say that the leftmost blue/yellow one has 32 macaroni bricks per individual loop. I just got a bunch of 1955-57 macaroni bricks from Europe that have the 2x4 macaroni bricks (half circle) as well as the 2x2 we (...) (19 years ago, 6-Apr-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: New Galactic Inquisition Mech.

I almost expected to see wood timbers and gears on the inside, and maybe peasants running in wheels to provide power. :-) But it's high tech medieval. The shaping of the brick/slope/rounded armor is great, and the knightly details: perforated mask, (...) (20 years ago, 6-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: The Brick Testament: Judge Deborah

(...) Yeah, I don't know what it says about me as a person, but I'm more upset at the sight of mutilated Lego than I am at the idea of someone getting killed violently in his sleep. By the way, I love the backward-helmet look here...I don't think it (...) (20 years ago, 6-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

  Re: New Galactic Inquisition Mech.

(...) There are some really cool details here- I love the feet and the swords on the shinplates. And the breathing vents on the faceplate are perfect. The small man on the belt buckle strikes me as disturbing, though I can't really say why. Nice (...) (20 years ago, 5-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
