  Re: My Wife At Work

(...) Strangely enough, when I asked my wife if she really did have a barrel under her desk at work, her reply was a definitive "Yeah." Weird. -Elroy (20 years ago, 7-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Re: Sizing for to-scale large vehicles??

(...) Keith, I've checked the calculations: Length: 40ft * 304.8mm/ft / 16 / 8mm/stud = 95.25 studs Width: 102" * 25.4mm/in / 16 / 8mm/stud = 20.24 studs Height: 118.5" over roof hatch * 25.4mm/in / 16 / 3.2mm/plate = 59 plates high off the ground (...)   Re: My Wife At Work

(...) Maybe its supposed to be a "stylish" trash bin. A good friend on Classic-Castle chat, Jennifer, likes to collect ornamental bins for decorative purposes, maybe Elroy's wife does the same? Ben Medinets (20 years ago, 7-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Re: Sizing for to-scale large vehicles??

(...) Good evening Keith, First of all, the MOC sounds, well, very big!And very impressive! I would love to see it as it is right now. I have the technic trucks that are on brickshelf. I posted the tanker complete article a few days ago on (...) (20 years ago, 7-Mar-05, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.build, FTX)

  Sizing for to-scale large vehicles??

Hi guys, I have started building a 1:16 model of the (URL) VII> transit bus (something I have not seen done so far). I took the dimensions data from the Orion Bus site, calculated the scaled dimensions in studs as so: Length 94 studs (75cm) (...) (20 years ago, 7-Mar-05, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: wanted: water fall ideas.......please

(...) I wish I had you patience to sit down a find this stuff. Thanks for the links. I will definitely be ""barrowing"" a few ideas from them. Thanks again, OnDrew (20 years ago, 7-Mar-05, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build, lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: My Wife At Work

(...) That's a real cool cubicle! Except, does your wife really have a barrel under her desk? BD Nelson (20 years ago, 7-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  My Wife At Work

Here's a quick one that I built this afternoon for my wife, who works in a Customer Service department (not a job I'd recommend, by the way): (2 URLs) Brickshelf Gallery> -Elroy (20 years ago, 7-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: New MOC: Knight Powersuit

(...) Nice to see you back building and posting again, Chris. The Gamut's a classic, and the Knight improves on the basic design with added mobility. I think someone else mentioned this too, but I get a Patlabor feel from this one. (20 years ago, 6-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: What is this?

(...) Then I suppose you haven't seen the various references to MF (Minifigures) at various places here. ;-) Legoswami (20 years ago, 6-Mar-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: .Vignette curator

(...) Thanks Bruce. I said 'tomorrow', when I really meant 'Sunday.' Heh. Nathan and Nelson have been set up as curators. Let me know if there are any problems with this. -Lenny (20 years ago, 6-Mar-05, to lugnet.admin.curators, lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Re: My First Post, and it's a biggun

(...) And here you learn another NEW lesson: What happens when you forget to activate/deactivate FTX before replying ;-) Your MOCs are sooooo NOT fair! :-) You can't just debut AND be a good builder at the same time! This stuff is way too cool. (...) (20 years ago, 6-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

Re: My First Post, and it's a biggun

(...) Yeah, i actually thought about that today as i was posting, but after waiting 3 weeks to get on lugnet, i was a bit antsy. Things'll be a bit slower now though, my lego collection has inexplicably diminished. David (20 years ago, 6-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: My First Post, and it's a biggun

I kinda liked the Bobby Fischer reference, though i'll try to stick around for awhile. If only there was as much money in lego as professional chess, oh the sets i'd buy ~sigh~. Thanks for the warm welcome. David (20 years ago, 6-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: My First Post, and it's a biggun

Thanks for the compliments, it was certainly flattering to be posted on Jon's sight. His stuff is amazing, and to merely be mentioned there was a red letter day. He was actually one of the first builders to baffle me with some SNOT. Thanks so much (...) (20 years ago, 6-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: My First Post, and it's a biggun

All I can say is that you're a welcome addition in our community, a very good builder and for the little I know of, I'm sure we'll be hearing from you in the future! I've been here for a few years and I don't think I've announced as many good (...) (20 years ago, 6-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

Re: My First Post, and it's a biggun
