Re: Shogun, BAM (Big *** Mech)

(...) Thanks. I really didn't mean to make a Sophie head, it just kind of ended up that way. I started with the eyes and then covered it with that blueish canopy. I liked that so much the rest of the head kind of came together. (...) Thanks Chris! (...) (20 years ago, 7-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  One of my first castles

Hi, Now this isn't my first castle posted online, but it is one of my first I built. I just never got around to the finishing touches and taking pictures of it until yesterday. Anyways, here it is: (URL) Gallery is moderated so you don't have to (...) (20 years ago, 7-Feb-05, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX) !

Re: Shogun, BAM (Big *** Mech)

It looks Avian, but at the same time Saurian. For some reason, I think this mecha would look good with a dinosaur-like tail. You know, you can articulate a long tail with a dozen worm gears... Maybe I shouldn't have mentioned this. You'll dry up the (...) (20 years ago, 7-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Shogun, BAM (Big *** Mech)

(...) Wow! This mech is soooo awesome! Just amazing work...I can't find a thing to criticize... Just really fine work. The shape of the head almost reminds me of something I would see on one of Sophie's bots...almost... The mech looks so clean, yet (...) (20 years ago, 7-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Update on my 2wide work

Very nice, I hope to see more soon. I'll have more pix up of my stuff soon, now that the LegoFactory contest has entered the final round and I don't have to design any new stuff on LDD. I'll actually try to build some real MOCs now :) Mark (...) (20 years ago, 7-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.microscale)

Re: Shogun, BAM (Big *** Mech)

(...) From one of the newbies at .Mecha --- WOW/Thanks. This is incredible. I love the detail and the articulation. The poses are so realistic. After talking to you via e-mail, I am amazed by the gear work. I can't express how amazing 22 worms gears (...) (20 years ago, 7-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Update on my 2wide work

(...) Yeah, it looks pretty bleak. I took some street level pics too, but they looked like "ghost town" so I discarded them. I think a few vehicles and some street scenery will help, as the title says, it is only half done. There have been some very (...) (20 years ago, 7-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.microscale)

Re: Update on my 2wide work

(...) Now, that's what I cal, nicer micro-stuff! Really neat indeed. I remember seeing your train a while ago and I was waiting for some new stuff from you, but this is better than I expected. Will you add cars? Maybe people? I'd like to see your (...) (20 years ago, 7-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.microscale)

Re: Update on my 2wide work

(...) Oh My Goodness! That's spectacular! Having HO when I was a kid and combining the HO trains and track with LEGO buildings and landscaping was one thing, but this is wonderful! Nicely done! Dave K (20 years ago, 7-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.microscale)

Lifting a corner of the veil

Tips & tricks: 1) If you decide to convert an image without dithering (e.g. a cartoon character), you may have noticed that a significant part of the image turns (dark) grey (in case this colour is in your list of colours to be used), even if you (...)   Re: Update on my 2wide work

(...) Niiiice! Do I recognize a certain white building w/red roof in this pic: (URL) the microscale equivalent of: (URL) mountain as well, John. Looks like all fits on a standard LUCNY table too! This is coming to Ithaca, no? Can I run my N stuff on (...) (20 years ago, 7-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.org.us.lucny)

Re: Update on my 2wide work

(...) There are some train pics here; (URL) the loco shell is seriously hollowed out. That does take practice. Although I got lucky, the second, backup shell is still unmodified. As it turns out, the track exactly snaps between plates arranged two (...) (20 years ago, 7-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.microscale)

Re: Update on my 2wide work

I'm not John but.. (...) It's N scale track actually, I think. I'm guessing that perhaps he did not secure it. (...) Previous posts by JB described the massive route-out he did to accomplish putting an N scale engine guts inside of a brick shell. (...) (20 years ago, 7-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.microscale)

Re: Update on my 2wide work

(...) BAM! Way to hit Micro to the bleachers. Way impresed. 2 Questions though, 1) How have you sercured the HO scale track to the base plates? and 2) how have you hidden the engine in something that is only 2 wide (I suspect brick butchering :D). I (...) (20 years ago, 7-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.microscale)

Re: Shogun, BAM (Big *** Mech)

(...) Thank you! (...) Complex construction, life like simplicity. Funny that, kind of matches my programming motto. (Complex coding/simple functionality) The short of this is a complex arraingement of parts, all working to a unified sum, everything (...) (20 years ago, 7-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Shogun, BAM (Big *** Mech)

Awesome work!!! The level of detail on this thing is almost excessive, but somehow works with the model, instead of against it... Very nice. I could go on and on about how well built and designed this is, but I'll spare you. The rifle alone is a (...) (20 years ago, 7-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: A hockey coincidence

Hey Norbert, First, let me say, I'm a big fan of your minifigs. They are awesome. I don't have the patience for painting (those who can, do, those who can't, just gawk in amazement at those who can do. Who Do. Er... ), so, wow. Do you have a (...)   Re: Shogun, BAM (Big *** Mech)

First, apologies if this creates a second post, I must of hit the wrong button or something. Not seeing my reply. (...) Thanks Kevin. (...) I agree.
