Re: Error Diffusion Dithering in LEGO (ministeck) mosaics

i must admit that i am not an expert at dithering. i have made improvements to Briksaic so it gives more accurate results. i took the CameronDiaz picture and ran it through Bricksaic to compare the results with Maarten's results. Though they are not (...) (20 years ago, 13-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mosaic, FTX)

  Re: 9 ft Television Tower

(...) HoMa, Nice MOC! I really like it, although I have one small thing about it. Something about the railing support doesn't seem to match. The tower is nice and smooth, but then the railing supports aren't. Maybe try putting a 1x2 tile on the (...) (20 years ago, 13-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.schleim, lugnet.technic, FTX)

Re: Now There's an Enthusiast - Hidden Treasure (was Re: The Beeesh)

(...) Eric, In light of recent personal events with you, I'm not sure you'll take what I'm saying favorably or not. Perhaps if you wrote down in your original post all the improvements you made to the Mech, people would appreciate it, and look at (...) (20 years ago, 13-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Teikiatsu Ver.2

Teikiatsu Ver.2 (URL) thought i rushed the first version so this is my attempt to fix it. The changes are obvious. I think the head could still be better but that is the way it will be for now. Thanks. Marcus (20 years ago, 13-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Error Diffusion Dithering in LEGO (ministeck) mosaics

Before I started writing a program to create mosaics from my own pictures, I needed lots of information on "how to reduce the colour palette of an image to a custom colour palette". I started searching on Google with simple keywords "colour palette" (...) (20 years ago, 13-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mosaic, FTX)

  Re: Gaidoku

(...) Hey, Thanks for the reply. I could have built a better mini mech but I was trying to limit myself to what pieces I had in front of me at the time. This mini mech is the prototype for some mini mechs I plan to make later. For now I am working (...) (20 years ago, 13-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Gaidoku

(...) I like it. The color scheme is, if I may say so, more integrated than Teikatsu's. Why? It's mostly spider-orange, but interrupted by grey and black -- which, as an essay (re: Color Theory in LEGO Models) that I recently read explained, are (...)   Re: The Beeesh

(...) I have found your Beesch and the following thread quite enlightening (This thread is all that I have ever heard LUGNET to be -- thanks all). I have had a mild interest in starting to build Mechs and it sounds like you know quite a bit. So if (...) (20 years ago, 12-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: The Beeesh

(...) For you. Not for everyone. "Better" is subjective. No need to slight other forums in this discussion, it's wild enough as it is. (20 years ago, 12-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: The Beeesh

(...) It's not better. It's not worse. It is just different. CSF has a very different dynamic. if you are thin skinned it may not be the place to hang out. if you haven't got the ability to take criticism and smack in stride, it may not be the place (...)   Re: The Beeesh

(...) I didn't run, I went to my grandmother's funeral. But hey, thanks for asking. As for my criticisms, yes, I do give them to my "cronies". I even told Giddens to quit building PCS because they were all looking the same in style. I told Sandlin (...) (20 years ago, 12-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: The Beeesh

(...) Jeez, where do I start? My shoelace is broken, my "check engine" light has been on for two weeks, and I just ate too many chili fries. (...) Whoops! Sorry! Hey everyone, please check out my Mecha, made with up to 60% real LEGO bricks: (URL) simple, but I had fun designing them. Thanks! (20 years ago, 12-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)
