  LEGO-decorated Christmas Tree

For some reason, it never occurred to me before to decorate my home Christmas tree all in LEGO ornaments (1). I didn't go crazy, just a few designs, but the overall impact was quite effective. Non-LEGO parts included: Tree, tree stand, electric (...) (20 years ago, 28-Dec-04, to lugnet.fun.holiday, lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.basic, lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: MOC: Night Owl

(...) Another rip-off (?) of fan work comes to mind: Located in a brickshelf gallery (don't recall which one) are some unofficial car parts: shopping cart spoilers, chromy wheel rims, fins etc, which are now showing up in the 2005 racer sets. (...) (20 years ago, 27-Dec-04, to lugnet.build)

  Re: MOC: Night Owl

(...) All sarcasm aside, I would like to know whether LEGO patented this or not, as Rob Hendrix certainly did seem to have been doing this first. I did a bit of digging, this was the best query I could come up with: (URL) patents where InterLEGO is (...) (20 years ago, 27-Dec-04, to lugnet.build)

(...) She rolled right over me, Keith. Said I was a hipster dufus. Said I'm not good looking enough for her. Not good looking! Keith, look at me, look at my face, huh, am I beautiful? George, am I beautiful? (20 years ago, 27-Dec-04, to lugnet.build)

  Re: MOC: Night Owl

(...) It's kinda difficult to build the cloud of poison and pollution surrounding a lit MOC cigarette, but points to you if you can capture the effect ;-) -Tim (20 years ago, 27-Dec-04, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: MOC: Night Owl

(...) Thanks for the kind words. That would be interesting- matching 'strangers in the night' figures. Although making the woman would take guess work, being an ackward hipster is something I know well ;) (20 years ago, 27-Dec-04, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Felix, this guy reminds me of that 80's Dire straights video for 'money for nothing'...not in terms of composition, but in style. Great job, you hipster dufus, and Happy new year. -Keith 'That ain't workin' (20 years ago, 26-Dec-04, to lugnet.build)

  Re: BrickCommander® 2004 Finale

(...) Your praise is appreciated, Kyle! The LEGO rescue chopper indeed is a nice set. Actually it's one of the few sets I purchased myself in 2004. However, if you were ONLY after the canopy, I would recommend to buy single elements at bricklink. I (...) (20 years ago, 26-Dec-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: MOC: Night Owl

(...) I haven't seen any. But then, for some reason when people think scultpure they think bumps up. I don't understand why. (...) Kind words from the first lady of party! I find it interesting that the majority of folks who replied to this were people I had a great time with in DC. Makes me think those are fond memories for them as well. Felix (20 years ago, 26-Dec-04, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  First experience with LEGO Mosaic

I ordered a LEGO Mosaic recently, and had a few thoughts about how life and LEGO are alike in some ways.
