Re: How should I hang this giant mosaic?

(...) Building an 8x6 panel would take a very simple amount of carpentry skills. 2 pieces of plywood and a border around it made from 1x2's or 1x4's would probably be nice and stable. A little cross bracing in the back for reinforcement and you're (...) (20 years ago, 16-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.mosaic)

  Re: P-61 by Shoeless Joe

Definitely a nice posting. I immediately hit the internet to find out more information on this fighter. (20 years ago, 15-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.military)

How should I hang this giant mosaic?

A local museum has asked me and my students to create a giant mosaic for them to be displayed. I've already created it digitally: (URL) will be dozens of mini-mosaics with a Las Vegas theme all around this giant mosaic.) The mosaic is about 8' long (...)   Re: Storing Minifig Torsos and Heads

(...) Thomas, Maybe some double-stick tape or sticky tack (if it will adhere to the platic) will make a re-usuable fastener. I like the idead of heat-forming the pockets better, if it works. -Brian (20 years ago, 15-Apr-04, to lugnet.storage, lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: I am the new curator here

(...) It is standard practice (well. we are encouraging it to be) that you provide a way for people to tell who the curator of the group is, right there in the front page. It is even better if you can provide a way for them to contact you with a (...) (20 years ago, 15-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.admin.curators)

I am the new curator here

I have been given the honor of curating this group. This basically means that the stuff you see on the left side when you visit it in the LUGNET Web interface is now under my control. So if you would like me to add anything, or if you have ideas for (...) (20 years ago, 15-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

(URL) These Bots kick @$$ - your @$$ in fact. And they date your wife because you are such a wimp. Yeah, Keith Goldman, I'm talking about you! Ha! What are you gonna do about it? Huh? Huh? Nothing.   X-Pod Dragons

(URL) I got a set of X-Pods the other day and decided to build something out of each pod. The Blue and Yellow turned into fairly un-inspired Jet and Car - but with the red I decided to build a dragon. I was inspired by Dave Eaton's (URL) from (...)   Re: lotsa new (microscale) MOCs

(...) (5 URLs) Jeff, these all are very creative. The tanker truck and the dump truck look very realistic - very faithful microscale reproductions. The Coupe is also very nice.   Re: Jesus and His Family / The Flesh and Blood of Jesus

(...) Thanks, Bruce. (...) Yeah, I've seen others use the lattice fences quite nicely as shutters, and it's even easier when you're only ever going to show one side of a building -- the other side can look sloppy if no one sees it.   Re: Jesus and His Family / The Flesh and Blood of Jesus

Hey Brendan, Great stuff as always. I like the window behind Jesus in the first story. I was actually just playing around with ideas to use those fence pieces vertically as shutters. In the second story, the use of the hollow dresser bricks as (...) (20 years ago, 14-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

Re: Jesus and His Family / The Flesh and Blood of Jesus

(...) Thanks, Teddy. (...) That's a couple of (URL) Panel 3 x 4 x 6 with Curved Top>'s. I noticed the inner-side of that piece had that neat pattern to it, so I wanted to work it into a construction somehow. -Brendan (20 years ago, 14-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

Fabulous as always, Rev. Question: what is Jesus standing on in (URL) ? It looks SNOT-ty, but I can't quite make it out. -Teddy (20 years ago, 14-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

  Re: zemi.net
