  Re: lotsa new (microscale) MOCs

(...) (5 URLs) Jeff, these all are very creative. The tanker truck and the dump truck look very realistic - very faithful microscale reproductions. The Coupe is also very nice. The Star Trek ship and the Frieghter are my favorites tho. The Frieghter (...) (20 years ago, 14-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.space, lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: Jesus and His Family / The Flesh and Blood of Jesus

(...) Thanks, Bruce. (...) Yeah, I've seen others use the lattice fences quite nicely as shutters, and it's even easier when you're only ever going to show one side of a building -- the other side can look sloppy if no one sees it. (...) I have (...) (20 years ago, 14-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: Jesus and His Family / The Flesh and Blood of Jesus

Hey Brendan, Great stuff as always. I like the window behind Jesus in the first story. I was actually just playing around with ideas to use those fence pieces vertically as shutters. In the second story, the use of the hollow dresser bricks as (...) (20 years ago, 14-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

Re: Jesus and His Family / The Flesh and Blood of Jesus

(...) Thanks, Teddy. (...) That's a couple of (URL) Panel 3 x 4 x 6 with Curved Top>'s. I noticed the inner-side of that piece had that neat pattern to it, so I wanted to work it into a construction somehow. -Brendan (20 years ago, 14-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

Re: Jesus and His Family / The Flesh and Blood of Jesus

Fabulous as always, Rev. Question: what is Jesus standing on in (URL) ? It looks SNOT-ty, but I can't quite make it out. -Teddy (20 years ago, 14-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

  Re: zemi.net

(...) I think that's where it went wrong. ALL the pictures I have looked at were wider than high, so all the thumbs are compressed sideways. Once you've noticed it, it's almost impossible to ignore... (...) noticeable? As I noticed it at once, yes, (...) (20 years ago, 14-Apr-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: zemi.net

(...) Well sure... the distortion mostly isn't noticeable. If you can't tell what the pictures are showing, then what does it matter that they're horizontally squeezed? Many of your thumbs are not very helpful at actually determining what they take (...) (20 years ago, 14-Apr-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: ISCC at 1000steine.de

(...) There has now been 82 entries for a long time - which is less that last year. I could not reach the deadline this time, but hope so next year. 82 entries are less compared to last year, and I am wondering whether that is all, and when voting (...)   Re: zemi.net

(...) Most images are centered enough that cropping an eighth off either side won't clip a significant part of the picture. You could also do more abstract thumbs that use only a small portion of the image, but then you would need some descriptions (...) (...) Thanks, Jason. I didn't get around to posting my praise, but let me say here that I loved your SNOT delivery truck. Ingenius design. (...) Thanks for the tip. I will try that out next time the Bible calls for a wolf. -Brendan (20 years ago, 14-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.ancient)

  lotsa new (microscale) MOCs

  Re: zemi.net

(...) Well, that's because that is exactly what we did. Jon wanted small, square thumbs. Since they were so small we figured the distortion wouldn't be that bad, compared to simply clipping the image. (This is all automatic of course. So cropping on (...)
