Re: New Mecha - The Klymyth

Hey, why are you making quadrupeds that can't actually walk. That's too easy! It's time you made a motorized four legged walker. Quadrupeds are inherently stable and don't require dynamic control other than gearing, but with an RCX it could do (...) (21 years ago, 24-Mar-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Neptune's Moon Lagoon

(...) Could be worse. I've gotten so used to posting in forums that I sometimes close the window after only hitting the Preview button. (...) Ah, that would probably explain why someone in Wisconsin had such huge quantities of gems, and all but one (...)   Re: Neptune's Moon Lagoon

(...) Solar pull on the Earth's tides is pretty weak compared to the lunar pull. It'd probably be even weaker compared to terran pull on the moon. Tides might fluctuate an inch or two throughout the lunar month, but not enough to get a good surf (...) (21 years ago, 23-Mar-04, to lugnet.technic.bionicle, lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Neptune's Moon Lagoon

(...) Less than you might think. The reason why there's an obverse lunar tide is because the moon is small and doesn't exert enough gravitic force on the far side of earth to pull all the water around to the near side. The side closest to the moon (...) (21 years ago, 23-Mar-04, to lugnet.technic.bionicle, lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Neptune's Moon Lagoon

(...) Oops! Um, wrong parallel universe. But, there would be some solar tidal pull, though not as strong. (...) You mean, the fact that the water is 'imported' in barrels from the tanks downstairs; the very tanks used to replenish the pool? Boy, if (...)   Re: Neptune's Moon Lagoon

Damn, I typed a big reply and then my browser crashed. (...) Those police tiles get everywhere. Windsor did have the little gems in trans yellow, red, green and purple. They fill up the gaps nicely, and you can mount them along technic beams for (...) (21 years ago, 23-Mar-04, to lugnet.technic.bionicle, lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: 24 Mosaic

(...) The methodology you used it pretty fresh man, bravo! But the more i look at it, the less i can see how this is a space ship. /runs -Lenny (21 years ago, 23-Mar-04, to lugnet.build.mosaic, FTX)

  Re: StarScoot

(...) Wow, thats an amazing amount of detail packed into such a little craft. Great use of the JSF canopy. I've come to the conclusion that the only effective way to use it is at an angle like that. I really like how there is really no studs-up in (...) (21 years ago, 23-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Neptune's Moon Lagoon

(...) The 1x2 tiles and bricks are still listing in huge quantities at reasonable prices on Bricklink (they both appear to have hit Pick-a-Brick in California). If it weren't for that, I might still be collecting water for the pool, but I managed to (...) (21 years ago, 23-Mar-04, to lugnet.technic.bionicle, lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

(...) Thanks! I have zoomed it around once or twice :) It started out as being a bit bigger, having everything I wanted, and I kept compressing it, seeing if I could keep all it had with less mass.   Industrial Piping Study

Greetings, Earth Mortals! Just a quick weekend throw-together to study how industrial piping might work. Though this model is non-specific (especially as regards color), the ideas explored seemed useful in a number of applications. If you're (...) (...) I'm guessing one of the California stores has them as well. Bricksland Free S&H (the store I bought mine from) currently has 7613 of them in stock, and there aren't any sets that come with more than two of them (best value is the SW mini MF). (...)   24 Mosaic

Hey guys, I'm not sure how many of you are into this show, but it's pretty good, and fairly addictive. I made a mosaic of the logo while the show's on hiatus until the end of the month.
