Re: Crimson Skies - NightHawk v.2

This kinda works for me. Try to catch that Sky Captain trailer again. Your Nighthawk reminds me of one of those flapping bad guy planes. Fradel (21 years ago, 13-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  New Joint Tech

Not much else to say about it. Approximates the human knee joint disturbingly well. It bends further than the picture shows, so build one and experiment! (URL) Enjoy! Soren (21 years ago, 13-Feb-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

(...) -snip- (...) Funny you mention the flatness of the underside, that's actually what I was going for. A little bit of layering, but otherwise flat. Glad you noticed :) I like the colors too, originally it was all grey, dark grey & black, but the (...) (21 years ago, 13-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Re: Mosaic teaser / wallpaper

(...) That's awesome! It would be even awesomer if it fit my 2048 x 1536 desktop. 800x600 stretched to 2048x1536 starts looking like a mosaic itself. The recursive mosaic thing just hurts my head. :-) Derek (21 years ago, 13-Feb-04, to lugnet.build.mosaic, FTX)

Re: Crimson Skies - NightHawk v.2

(...) -snip- (...) I did try smaller wingflaps, but the (URL) 4x4> ones seemed too stubby. If only there was a 6x4 to go with the (URL) 8x4> Ah well, lack of parts can sometimes lead to interesting comprimises :) Funny that in the previous version (...)   Re: Crimson Skies - NightHawk v.2

(...) A definite working out of the design to a smoother product that fits into the Crimson Skies category, if perhaps on the futuristic like the Guardian. The only other thing I could think of is to give the underside a little more substance. Not (...) (21 years ago, 13-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Re: eva-00 is back!

I have to say this is an awesome EVA unit, you have been able to truly bend the Lego brick to your will! I would have replied to this earlier, but my posting privileges had been revoked. It might have something to do with the fact that I haven't (...) (21 years ago, 13-Feb-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: LEGOFan.net - central community run hub for all areas of the LEGO community.

Hello! (...) Well, most AFOLs already have been LEGO fans as kids and - after a periode of neglecting the brick, the so called 'dark ages' - found back to their old love. That means: For the purpose of growing hard core LEGO fans it's necassary to (...)   Re: LEGOFan.net - central community run hub for all areas of the LEGO community.

(...) why not just add a few new links/rearranging the front/homepage of LUGnet to make the central portal for the community? Jeff (21 years ago, 13-Feb-04, to lugnet.build, lugnet.castle, lugnet.general, lugnet.lego, lugnet.publish, lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars, lugnet.trains)

Re: Crimson Skies - NightHawk v.2

(...) Hey, some nice changes you've done. I still think the nose area throws it off, but the piston engine and the big clunky machine guns go a long way toward making it look more Crimson Skies era. The only other suggestion I would have is to use (...) (21 years ago, 12-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Crimson Skies - NightHawk v.2

Reintroducing the NightHawk (3 URLs) After Mod> Thanks to some helpful criticism from the Grand Admiral, I sat down and revised the NightHawk.   Mosaic teaser / wallpaper

Hello. Here is a teaser photo of one of the headlight brick mosaics I'll be bringing up to Portland for BrickFest. I also find it makes a pleasing deskptop wallpaper, if you're so inclined. [ -> .org ] (...) So what would be available to not-logged-in users? Greatest common factor? From a pragmatic standpoint, that seems like that'll dramatically chop the usefulness of the site -- imagine if Google only showed Kid-Safe-Verified sites (...) This site (LEGOFan) could include content (such as offsite (...) (...) Perhaps it is time to have another revolution. After all, LUGNET was at least partly founded as a response to user's dissatisfaction with some problems inherent in r.t.l (one of them , ironically, being that r.t.l was too open a system which (...)
