Hey, no I hadn’t. That’s very cool. I had intended to try something like this
-- a very simple image headlight mosaic. In fact, I had remembered someone else
doing a Mario-esque non-headlight mosaic, and thought that old computer games
characters would be a good idea for this sort of thing, being simple and
recognizeable.
It would be cool is Sstav showed the reverse view, because one of the nicest
things about headlight mosaics is that they look just as cool from the reverese
side.
Also, in Sstav’s mosaic, staying true to the nature of SuperMario, there are
basic squares made up of four headlight bricks of the same color. Of course,
this need not be the case for a more complex mosaic -- each brick in the basic
square could be a different color. So I’m just waiting for Eric Harshbarger to
come along and make a gigantic image out of headlight bricks. I’d do it myself,
but I don’t know how to wrote the software needed to tell me which bricks go
where.
Glad to see the headlight mosaic idea catching on...
