Re: P-51D Mustang with invasion stripes

(...) Thanks Douglas The D-day invasion striped version is my favourite as well. I will try to make a couple more in other colours as soon as my Bricklink deliveries arrive. It would be nice if our Mustangs could fly together. I have delivered one (...) (21 years ago, 17-Jan-04, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: P-51D Mustang with invasion stripes

(...) snip The photos look event better than the cad images.... I like the way you were able to incorporate the easily personalizable nose-art & insignia. I like the one with invasion strips the best. drc (21 years ago, 17-Jan-04, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Battleship Project...

(...) Umm (still awestruck by the size of this thing)... where do you get your gray bricks from? Are they all S@H orders?! -Bryan (21 years ago, 17-Jan-04, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Battleship Project...

(...) oops! I forgot I posted those pictures... gotta stay off the internet after drinking a night of building / drinking! I took the pics at night, but promise some much better daylight pictures when I'm finished. Yes, Lindsay's guess is correct (...) (21 years ago, 16-Jan-04, to lugnet.build.military)

New MOC: Market Building 'De Korenbeurs'

At Groningen, The Netherlands, in the 1880's a spacious building was erected to house the local exchange market for grains. The building was soon to be known as 'De Korenbeurs' (The Grain Exchange). As grain commerce gradually disappeared from the (...) (21 years ago, 16-Jan-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.announce, lugnet.town, lugnet.build.contests, FTX) !!

Re: New MOC: 1:18 scale BMW M5 Sedan

(...) Unfortunately, I don't think I can make it to PDX, so this model won't be going unless Adrian wants to tote it there. I have a midterm exam that Monday, and it's expensive to fly from Cleveland. However, if you want to pay for my ticket... :) (...) (21 years ago, 15-Jan-04, to lugnet.build)

Re: New MOC: 1:18 scale BMW M5 Sedan

(...) It was partially your M1 that inspired me to build my own BMW model. I was also inspired by some of you hinge techniques for the opening trunk. The curvature on the side of your model also prompted me not to leave the sides of mine completely (...) (21 years ago, 15-Jan-04, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: New MOC: 1:18 scale BMW M5 Sedan

(...) Heh, thanks. (...) Well, I used LDraw a lot for a few years, so I got to be pretty familiar with the dimensions of lego parts, and how they need to be oriented to get everything to line up properly. Familiarity with the dimensions of technic (...) (21 years ago, 15-Jan-04, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Battleship Project...

(...) Dan, The ship is nice and all, but I think I'm more stunned by the size and shear patience to build that (bridge, display stand, coffin, Wall of China) underneath it. Aaron S (21 years ago, 15-Jan-04, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Battleship Project...

(...) Wow, that is really cool. My guess is that it is BB55 North Carolina circa 1943-1944. I can't wait to see it is finished. Looks great so far. I like the lines of the bow and the turrets. The 5-38 turrets look great. The dazzle cammoflage (...) (21 years ago, 15-Jan-04, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

Re: New MOC: 1:18 scale BMW M5 Sedan

Hi Nice work! I really like that car! And that's not just because I like BMWs in general :-) It's amazing how you managed to build quite a lot of little details at such a small scale (fuel cap!, dashboard, etc.). I especially like the lower fenders (...) (21 years ago, 15-Jan-04, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: New MOC: 1:18 scale BMW M5 Sedan

(...) As usual your car skills at once confuse and stun me. Really nice work. And thank you for the very thorough explanation of the 0.7 stud offset. I still have absolutely no idea how you did that. (URL) j o n (URL) zemi.net> (URL) moonbase> (21 years ago, 15-Jan-04, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Battleship Project...

(...) Dan- Wow. That's lovely, really lovely--as to be expected, I suppose! Is it fully in scale with the cruiser, and is the cruiser still extant? I really need better lighting to take a good assay of it because the flash really messes up the sense (...) (21 years ago, 15-Jan-04, to lugnet.build.military)

Bah! Why did you even bother posting this heap o plastic junk? I mean, come on! No Suspension, no steering. And still you post it in .modelteam? All that got is awesome shape and über-cool building techniques that no mortal dears touch. I mean 1.7 (...) (21 years ago, 15-Jan-04, to lugnet.build)
