  Re: Space helmet

Here we go again, another great debate on purists and non-purists. It's kind of funny the way we (I include myself, i'm no different than the rest of you) see and use lego parts as if they had something holy in them :-) (21 years ago, 14-Nov-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.minifigs, FTX)

Re: New to Mecha + MOC

Hey there! I've been waiting for you to join us. Love that model, only possible criticism is the skirt armor - looks a little kludge-y. Welcome to .build.mecha! We're a little dead right now, so You might want to wait a bit before posting new MOCs, (...) (21 years ago, 14-Nov-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: LEGO Rubik Cube

(...) I wouldn't worry about not being the first although I know that it is annoying. Looking at your two designs it is amazing that they are so different inside to acheive the same action. Your rings obviously give a smoother (more engineered?) (...) (21 years ago, 14-Nov-03, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Space helmet

(...) Whuah??? I know the set designers have to modify bricks, since they usually end up designing new elements. A friend of mine was a set designer for a while, he designed the [LEGOSet 7130]and a few others... But Master Builders? We've always (...)   Re: WW2 minifig-scale Warbirds

(...) thanks for the response guys!! The request was if I could place some photo's of the original airplanes. Well that's possible but I have to search the web / scan them so it may take a while :-) In the meantime I've uploaded some more models and (...) (21 years ago, 14-Nov-03, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Space helmet

(...) Mike specified that it required the modification of the 2x2 round plate. A correctly sized drill bit would open the axle hole up to a circular stud sized hole. Seems like an easy enough, and unnoticable enough modification to be doable by all (...) (21 years ago, 14-Nov-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Ford P65 Trigunner

(...) If I ever build a zeppelin, I'll take a hint from Lego's Technic Idea Book from back when and just do it with a two-liter bottle =) Or maybe the Adventurers Zeppelin? Nah, too small... Hey, you're the one with all the grey--why don't you work (...) (21 years ago, 14-Nov-03, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Space helmet

How do you get the minifig's round neck to go through the + shaped hole in the 2X2 round plate? Is it maybe something that can only be done in CAD? (21 years ago, 14-Nov-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: LEGO Rubik Cube

(...) Before I built my Cube, I searched the net to know if someone has already tried this. The 'Googlebot' found no matches. I hoped I was the first to come up with it. You beat me to it. (I haven't found my way on LUGNET till last week !). There (...) (21 years ago, 14-Nov-03, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Ford P65 Trigunner

(...) You probably can, but you'd have to program them in. I don't know if any Flight Sim Toolkits or other devices exist to aid such an endeavor. Then again, it may be fortunate that they can't just be imported in form; I have a strange feeling (...) (21 years ago, 14-Nov-03, to lugnet.build.military)

  Space helmet

With a little modification of a 2x2 round plate, you get an excellent Moon helmet... (URL) as slim as a normal helmet, perhaps, but it's more like what your typical cartoon Mars helmet looks like. ~Mike (21 years ago, 14-Nov-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Pneumatic Quadraped 242

(...) I've added a total of four polarity reversers and now it can walk forward, backward, and turn right and left (within its own footprint)!   LEGO Rubik Cube

To all AFOL's, Is it possible to build a Rubik Cube with standard LEGO elements? The 3D puzzles from (URL) Eric Harshbarger> and (URL) JP Brown's Cubesolver> inspired me to build the famous Rubik Cube itself. You can check it out on my webpage : (2 (...)   Re: Pneumatic Quadraped 242

  CS Headhunter

Another Crimson Skies-inspired MOC: The Headhunter is a unique airplane.   My new and improved atlas!

Ever since i built my first atlas:(URL) wanted to make it bigger and bulkier, and also strengthen all of the joints. Well, i finally got around to it!   Re: New to Mecha + MOC

Welcome! Good to have another builder (there can never be enough). I must say i saw your mech on brickshelf a while back and was particularly impressed. I really like the head and arms, they seem very different, but very well designed, they give it (...) (21 years ago, 13-Nov-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)
