  Re: Question Regarding Ball Joints

Personally I think they suck. The range of motion is very limited and if you exceed that limit, the two halves of the ball pull apart and joint breaks. POP! End of story. You could remedy this by adhering the two halves together with glue but then (...) (22 years ago, 6-Apr-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Question Regarding Ball Joints

(...) I just ordered some from bricklink. I had the same idea but unfortunately I don't think they work well as joints. They could have made the ball joints better if they made it a full ball instead of half. Hope this helps. (22 years ago, 6-Apr-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  new site

Hello, I've read posts here for years, but have made relatively few posts of my own. I blame it all on a mechanical engineers natural laziness. Anyways, I overcame my laziness enough to put up some pages of my Lego stuff on my website. You'll find (...) (22 years ago, 6-Apr-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space) !

  Question Regarding Ball Joints

Just wondering, How strong are the new ball joints in the Geonosian Fighter and AT-TE? I'm (slowly) building a mecha and debating with myself whether to buy some for leg joints. The mecha will be a quadped (sp?). I've heard the joints are fairly (...) (22 years ago, 6-Apr-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Another MOC

(...) Yeah, I need to fix the legs, but I'm lazy. The cylinders are propellant tanks. Thank you for your comments! Take care, Soren (22 years ago, 6-Apr-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Caspers temple

I don't know if anybody has seen this or not, but Casper van Nimwegen has constructed and excellent MOC called the Temple of Portunus. Its one of the best things I've seen on brickshelf in a while. Sometimes great projects like this get lost in all (...) (22 years ago, 6-Apr-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)

  Re: Another MOC

oh yeah, this baby's got "zaku" written all over it. nice modification of this model, though. i really dig the cannisters on his back. i've seen them in many anime mecha before. what exactly are they for? i also like the "chunkiness" of it with only (...)   Re: Another MOC

(...) Yeah, well, it's almost two years old. I've learned since then. (...) Thank you! Saw your Behemoth revamp on Brickshelf, damn cool! I may steal that thruster concept, if you're okay with that. Take care, Soren (22 years ago, 6-Apr-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Another MOC

(...) I'm leaving if you start making slurping noises ;) (...) Thank you! I've always liked building great big mobile slabs of armor. The head was probably the most fun to design. The eye swivels, in true Gundam fashion. I'm not really happy with (...) (22 years ago, 6-Apr-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Another MOC

Mmm, crappy crap. This is great! I love the chunkiness of this guy. The head is well done- I like the personality it conveys. And I like the effect of those short, squat legs. The cockpit also looks good, too. Looks like a very gritty MOC. Great (...) (22 years ago, 6-Apr-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New MOC: Ghostbusters Ecto 1

(...) Very nicly detailed with all those gadgets. My only thought would be about the front of the car, should the nose of the car curve down slightly? I've also searched Lugnet's past for Gohstbusters, and I realy like the "Stay Puffed" Marshmellow (...) (22 years ago, 5-Apr-03, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Old stuff reposted

(...) No problem. Thank you! (...) Fuchikomas rule! I'm still annoyed they were cut out of the film. Tan isn't a very frustrating color to work with, I just can't get enough of the small plates and sloped parts that already exist. I really need tan (...)   Re: New MOC: Ghostbusters Ecto 1

Hey as soon as I see this I know exactly what it is! I was also showing a friends of mine pics from BW03 and they recognized it right away too! I like the plates over the rear fender area and the tap as the spot light are nice touches. I also dig (...) (22 years ago, 5-Apr-03, to lugnet.build)

  New MOC: Ghostbusters Ecto 1

Hello, I've just uploaded my Ecto 1 from the movie Ghostbusters (after almost a year of collecting dust).   Re: PA004 -Open Atmosphere Suit- Scout Type

(...) David, this scout suit is genius. Looks good from every angle, lots of detail, and it actually holds an entire minifig, not just the head. Would look very cool in large numbers, walking through a blast-crater. Very intimidating and industrial (...) (22 years ago, 5-Apr-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: Laser Tower

(...) Thanks for the kudos, my friend. (...) For the laser tower, it was based off of a piece from an out of print board game called Fortress America. I think there are alot of humbling, oustanding, if not epic mocs out there. That said, the one (...) (22 years ago, 5-Apr-03, to lugnet.build.military)
