(...) How do you rate those things, particularly in comparison to ball joints? I've been looking at that set for a while, but all I really want are the hinges so I can't really justify it even at the AU$45 I can get it for now. Are they any good? (...) (...) well, most of my mecha are under 6 inches tall so: Taps - I can't stress enough how useful I find these things for small hip and shoulder joints. (...) I'd like to see the "Super Battle Droid" clickwheel hinge in more colours. It comes in black/dark grey in the Exo-Toa Armor-- let's get it in red/yellow/"real" blue/light grey too! (...) I use 1 x 2 handle plates, 1 x 1 vet and horz clip plates, neck brackets (just started using thanks to SW Minis and Kotaro), I use alot of 1 x 2 plates, and those headlight / camera bricks. t (22 years ago, 14-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

I made a leg armature that is strong, easy to build, and doesn't need too many specialized pieces. Please note, I goofed on the first and second pic, you'll need four(4)x4 long technic axles, not two. here's the pics post mod: (URL) links: Step 1 (...)
