7740 (Was Re: Yellow train windows...)

  RE: Mini Cabover Semi

(...) Gee, thank Fredrik. I have to admit that it's sometimes more satisfying to do a decent small scale model than a giant Technic or RCX creation. If only my kids would keep their LEGO in the darned PLANO boxes it would be faster to build neat (...) (25 years ago, 14-Oct-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Mini Cabover Semi

(...) I think the construction exhibits lots of good, original ideas. The engine and tilting cab are very nicely done! Fredrik (25 years ago, 14-Oct-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Mini Cabover Semi

(...) Thats pretty slick, tilting cab, hmmmm. Might have to try adding that to one of my cabovers. Paul (URL) (25 years ago, 14-Oct-99, to lugnet.build)

  Lego Dalmation

I finally got my computer working. Here is a link to one of my models. Also try "dog (1-5)" for other views. To those I've already shown this to...thanks for the encouragement! (URL) McGlo (25 years ago, 14-Oct-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: Building a moon-display for your space models

(...) Just had a look, and I think you're onto something good <grin>. As for your question about backgrounds, I might off the notion of looking at the FAQ list for rec.models.railroad in the section on construction. They've got similar problems to (...) (25 years ago, 13-Oct-99, to lugnet.build)

  Mini Cabover Semi

With all of the semi trucks posted recently, I thought I'd add my little cabover semi to the group. What makes this one different is that it's only four studs wide and looks decent! It has a tilting cab, an engine, exhaust stacks, etc.... (URL) (...) (25 years ago, 13-Oct-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: Best selection of parts to mess around with

Seconded. If you can write the exam before you start the class and get an A, you should just place out of the class and take a different one. If you can't do that, pay attention to each and every class. Physics is important. (not as important as (...) (25 years ago, 13-Oct-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: FW: More semi trucks

G'Day I find for really long trailers (100+ studs) technic beams placed side by side staggered and pegged together and plates over top gives a really strong floor. ( I just can not get any higher because I run out of bricks :)). For a trailer hitch (...) (25 years ago, 13-Oct-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: FW: More semi trucks

(...) Speaking of which, I'm finally getting around to that. The trailer is 24x96 studs, so I'll be widening a spare 5571 to match (may lengthen it a bit too, and will definitely add a Technic engine). You don't even want to know how many 1x16 black (...)   Re: Yellow train windows...

(...) 7740, what a set..... talk about rare pieces.... the only set with (4) 3x3 low sloped corner bricks in yellow, and (10) 1x2x2 grey windows..... (sigh) what a set! My 2 cents/pence/pfennig/centimes. Gary Istok (25 years ago, 12-Oct-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: Big Big Big Classic Pirate Ship

(...) Considering the picture source, you did a terrific job of interpretation. I don't know how much it'll help for research - that is, I haven't looked for this on the web myself, but looking at model catalogs like Heller might get you more info. (...) (25 years ago, 12-Oct-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: New site opened

(...) That´s easy: 1. You attach the model to a string. 2. Get a friend to hold the string (and the model) completely still. Now he can´t do that, so your pic will come up all blurry ;-) --Tobias (25 years ago, 12-Oct-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

Cool! What you need now is some dialogue baloons, and make it into a "comic strip" type of story! Eric (25 years ago, 12-Oct-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

(...) but I am thoroughly clueless about semis in general. :-, Have you thought about putting them up in DAT or MPD format? Datsville could always use a few more rigs... Cheers, - jsproat (25 years ago, 12-Oct-99, to lugnet.build)

RE: Best selection of parts to mess around with

  New site opened

I have got "space pictures", pictures of actual space scenes, like the one in the catalogues. The site is about the yellow spaceguy Hugo, who lives with his friend on a small moon. (URL) (25 years ago, 12-Oct-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space)
