Any sugestions on the best selection of parts to take to oh I don't know a
really boring physics class and play with? I want to take my
collection but
I'm afraid it would disapear into the blackhole that is my
backpack. Anyone
else take selections of legos to anywhere so they can fiddle around with
them while waiting?

Ummm, Matt. Here's my advice - free and worth every penny. Back when I was
at the University of Waterloo, I was totally obsessed with reverse
engineering my HP41 calculator. The PPC user's group had even created a
special
firmware port that would allow easy "synthetic programming". It was a hot
summer, I was a teaching assistant, and hacky sack was the hobby of the day.

At exam time, I wrote one, felt like I had done badly, and realized that
I had wasted an entire summer and was not ready for exams. I went sailing
for exam weeks. Because I had a decent academic record to that point, I was
allowed to do the second part of fourth year fisrs, and graduated only
four months late...

So my humbly offered advice is this. Leave your LEGO at home, and pay
attention
to your physics prof. I don't put HP41 hacking on my resume, and LEGO won't
be
on yours :-)

There ARE kids reading this newsgroup that need good role models....so get
the inventory of 8062 from Dave Baum's site and put it in a PLANO
tackle box if you must.

Seconded. If you can write the exam before you start the class and get an A, you should just place out of the class and take a different one. If you can't do that, pay attention to each and every class. Physics is important. (not as important as (...) (25 years ago, 13-Oct-99, to lugnet.build)
