Re: Building a moon-display for your space models

(...) Just had a look, and I think you're onto something good <grin>. As for your question about backgrounds, I might off the notion of looking at the FAQ list for rec.models.railroad in the section on construction. They've got similar problems to (...) (25 years ago, 13-Oct-99, to lugnet.build)

  Mini Cabover Semi

With all of the semi trucks posted recently, I thought I'd add my little cabover semi to the group. What makes this one different is that it's only four studs wide and looks decent! It has a tilting cab, an engine, exhaust stacks, etc.... (URL) (...) (25 years ago, 13-Oct-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: Best selection of parts to mess around with

Seconded. If you can write the exam before you start the class and get an A, you should just place out of the class and take a different one. If you can't do that, pay attention to each and every class. Physics is important. (not as important as (...) (25 years ago, 13-Oct-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: FW: More semi trucks

G'Day I find for really long trailers (100+ studs) technic beams placed side by side staggered and pegged together and plates over top gives a really strong floor. ( I just can not get any higher because I run out of bricks :)). For a trailer hitch (...) (25 years ago, 13-Oct-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: FW: More semi trucks

(...) Speaking of which, I'm finally getting around to that. The trailer is 24x96 studs, so I'll be widening a spare 5571 to match (may lengthen it a bit too, and will definitely add a Technic engine). You don't even want to know how many 1x16 black (...)   Re: FW: More semi trucks

(...) Yes, Paul keep up the wide, er, good work;-) (...) ??? "REALLY" big? No, that would be Rickey from the GMLTC and anyone else who built their own trailer to fit their 5571 Monster Rig;-) -John (...) (25 years ago, 13-Oct-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Yellow train windows...

(...) 7740, what a set..... talk about rare pieces.... the only set with (4) 3x3 low sloped corner bricks in yellow, and (10) 1x2x2 grey windows..... (sigh) what a set! My 2 cents/pence/pfennig/centimes. Gary Istok (25 years ago, 12-Oct-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: Big Big Big Classic Pirate Ship

(...) Considering the picture source, you did a terrific job of interpretation. I don't know how much it'll help for research - that is, I haven't looked for this on the web myself, but looking at model catalogs like Heller might get you more info. (...) (25 years ago, 12-Oct-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: New site opened

(...) That´s easy: 1. You attach the model to a string. 2. Get a friend to hold the string (and the model) completely still. Now he can´t do that, so your pic will come up all blurry ;-) --Tobias (25 years ago, 12-Oct-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

Cool! What you need now is some dialogue baloons, and make it into a "comic strip" type of story! Eric (25 years ago, 12-Oct-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

(...) pages! (1) I like the motion blurring -- how'd you do that? re: chicken :-D I love it! In space, no one can hear you squawk.   Re: More semi trucks

(...) but I am thoroughly clueless about semis in general. :-, Have you thought about putting them up in DAT or MPD format? Datsville could always use a few more rigs... Cheers, - jsproat (25 years ago, 12-Oct-99, to lugnet.build)

RE: Best selection of parts to mess around with

(...) Ummm, Matt. Here's my advice - free and worth every penny. Back when I was at the University of Waterloo, I was totally obsessed with reverse engineering my HP41 calculator. The PPC user's group had even created a special firmware port that (...) (25 years ago, 12-Oct-99, to lugnet.build)

  New site opened

I have got "space pictures", pictures of actual space scenes, like the one in the catalogues. The site is about the yellow spaceguy Hugo, who lives with his friend on a small moon. (URL) (25 years ago, 12-Oct-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

  FW: More semi trucks

(...) (URL) - nice work... I like the cab-over designs - TLG doesn't do enough of them. The smaller models are great since more of us can build them. The REALLY big models are impressive too - but remember many of the readers here have limited (...) (25 years ago, 12-Oct-99, to lugnet.build)

Best selection of parts to mess around with

Any sugestions on the best selection of parts to take to oh I don't know a really boring physics class and play with? I want to take my collection but I'm afraid it would disapear into the blackhole that is my backpack. Anyone else take selections (...) (25 years ago, 12-Oct-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Yellow School Bus...

Hi Frank, I thought the same thing about those windows, there had to be a place for them somewhere in a regular LEGO town. I kept saving them up until I thought about the school. The real schools had brick arches that had a similar shape as the (...) (25 years ago, 12-Oct-99, to lugnet.build)
