  Re: Arctic Adventurers

Re: Building a moon-display for your space models

Thanks! I was thinking aobut something else: When taking photos of the display, maybe a piece of black paper would make a good background as a space-sky? It would be very interesting to know how TLG made their space-photos. Perhaps they used painted (...) (25 years ago, 8-Oct-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Blue Air Tanks

Lego Shop-at-Home still has the #8250 Search Sub for $25 (previously $50). The set includes one blue air tank, a large pump, and other pneumatic parts. It also includes 9 or 10 16-stud beams and other useful Technic parts. A good Technic value at 7 (...) (25 years ago, 6-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.build)

Re: Building a moon-display for your space models

I did something similar to this when I was messing around with animation back in high school. A friend and I were making an ice planet movie(it never got that far) and needed sets. I built a few by first making a frame out of 1x2s about 2x3 feet. (...) (25 years ago, 6-Oct-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: Building a moon-display for your space models

Re: Building a moon-display for your space models

Embedding plates, that´s a good idea. For bases etc, I thoguht that I´d build the model on it´s own baseplate, then just put it on the display, like it´s done in the catalogues. I don´t know if it really is necessary to embed plates, if you can make (...) (25 years ago, 6-Oct-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: Building a moon-display for your space models

(...) Greetings, Tobias... You might also think about -embedding- smaller plates here and there (inside craters or rills, for example) to enable you to achieve a more solid footing for your models. I've thought about this myself, both for space (...) (25 years ago, 6-Oct-99, to lugnet.build)

Building a moon-display for your space models

I just got this idea that I´ll try soon. By using papier-mache, some glue and sand, you could build a planet plate to play and display your space models on. This would be especially cool with classic space. You form the landscape, spread glue on it, (...) (25 years ago, 6-Oct-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: Halloween Lego Design Contest Reminder and Update

I'm crossposting this to lugnet.publish. It seems to be related to case sensitivity in the URL's. From work I have trouble, but not from home.   Re: Parts Used in "LEGO Man"?

From the page I see the body as 1st layer above the legs: 2x4 & 1X2, next two layers are 2X3 & 2X2. Hat is a 1X3 & 2X3. Lego is not a toy, it's a way of life.   Parts Used in "LEGO Man"?

(URL) feet are 2x3, legs are 2x2. What is the body made of? It looks like it should be 2x5, but according to (URL) is no 2x5. His head is 2x3, but what is the hat made of? 3x3?
